The Global Compliance Control Group (GCCG) is an independent risk management function and centralized point of contact where MNPI is reported, reviewed, recorded, and tracked. The GCCG is also responsible for:
- Monitoring the flow of MNPI to identify potential misuse of MNPI, including insider trading.
- Maintaining the watch list, restricted list, and persistent insider list.
- Facilitating barrier crossings.
- Maintaining an inventory of public and private designations provided by businesses or enterprise functions.
- Providing guidance on information-sharing requests
- Providing clearance review for Research.
- Providing Training and Resources on this topic.
- Conducting Information Barriers Trade Surveillance

- Manage and lead team with the implementation of the companywide compliance program with moderate to high risk complexity
- Establish, implement, and maintain risk standards and programs to drive compliance with federal, state, agency, legal and regulatory and Corporate Policy requirements
- Provide compliance risk and regulatory expertise for compliance program elements
- Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development
- Lead the reporting, escalation, and timely remediation of issues, deficiencies or regulatory matters regarding compliance risk management
- Report on the Compliance Program to more experienced compliance leaders, committees, and appropriate business management
- Make decisions and resolve issues to meet business objectives
- Interpret policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
- Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including managers
- Build relationships with corporate, business leaders, Legal, Audit, regulators and industry partners on risk related topics
- Lead team to achieve objectives
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Compliance
- Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
- 6+ years of Compliance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 3+ years of Management experience
- Strong team handling experience
- Experience in Risk and Compliance.
- Experience providing supervisory team oversight such as Quality Assurance and Scenario Calibrations.
- Prior Compliance Control Group or surveillance related experience.
- Proficient knowledge of data sets for trading in Equity products, including but not limited to quotes, orders and executions.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Critical Thinking and experience in quality assurance
- Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
- Adaptable to a collaborative work environment with multiple priorities and strict timelines
- Monitoring the flow of material nonpublic information (MNPI) and preventing/detecting the misuse of MNPI using an information barrier program, a key component of which are surveillance, Core Control room activities and Equity Aggregation.
- The Enterprise Compliance Control Group team is tasked with monitoring employee, and institutional trading activity within the Corporate and Investment Bank & Enterprise Functions, maintaining information barriers and aggregating firm positions in various securities and disclosing the positions in case of breach in thresholds
- Handle the day-to-day control room activities and support the follow the sun coverage model.
- Conduct information barrier trade surveillance for firm, customer, and employee personal account dealing (PAD)
- Monitor the flow of material nonpublic information (MNPI) to detect potential breaches of the firm's Information Barrier Policy, restricted list, and insider trading.
- Monitor the trading activity of subject employees within the investment, commercial, and retail banking lines of business, as well as Wealth & Investment Management (WIM), to identify potential breaches of PAD
- Review, research and disposition market abuse / insider trading and rule-based trade surveillance alerts across the Equity security asset class
- In this role you will maintain the Watch and Restricted List, Barrier Crossings, research clearances.
- Mentor and guide compliance specialists, Sr. specialists & lead officers of the GCCG team.
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
- Make decisions and resolve issues to meet compliance surveillance objectives.
- Support the reporting, escalation, and timely remediation of issues, deficiencies, or regulatory matters regarding compliance risk management.
- Support and implement initiatives with low to moderate risk.
- Manage and ensure accuracy of data.
- Troubleshoot system issues to determine root cause.
- Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with various teams
