About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Communications Manager. The position will develop and execute the strategic communications plans for Wells Fargo's business, including executive communications, Internal communications, and media relations, with communications that promotes and support's the Company's reputation.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage a team of individual contributors and managers responsible for developing and implementing strategic communications plans that advance Wells Fargo's reputation as an industry leader
  • Manage communications strategy and provide support for medium or large size business segment
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic counselor to more experienced management
  • Inform and influence decision-makers at the management level
  • Collaborate with more experienced management on business objectives and strategy to enhance organizational brand and reputation
  • Partner with other Communications teams to ensure alignment of communications strategies and messaging
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Communications
  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy

  • 14+ years of Public Relations, Media Relations or Corporate Communications experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 3+ years of management experience leading a team of communicators
  • Experience in Public Relations, Media Relations or Corporate Communications, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience developing communication strategies and plans that drive business priorities
  • Experience in issue management and crisis communications
  • Experience working with media reporters and associations
  • Experience writing stories and pitches that help build the brand
  • Experience in integrated content development across mediums
  • Experience presenting information in a manner that persuades and influences decision making
