About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Portfolio Associate to serve as an analyst on our Triggers and Surveillance Team supporting Wells Fargo Multifamily Capital division (WFMC). Learn more about our career areas and lines of business at wellsfargojobs.com.

In this role, you will:

• Collaborate and consult with Multi-Family Capital colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders, including internal as well as external customers.

• Work with third party vendor to identify, understand, and review various trigger covenants identified in the loan documents for assignment to respective Asset Managers.

  • Understand and review various loan covenants identified in the loan documents for potential escalation for enforcement of remedy.
  • Assist with the ordering of monthly/annual property inspections in coordination with vendor.
  • Review and process borrower requests for disbursement of impounded reserves.
  • Review and understand Financial Statements for accuracy and compliance with required GSE reporting standards.
  • Present recommendations for resolving less complex situations and exercise independent judgment while developing expertise in the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Contribute to management or control of operational and financial risk to Wells Fargo Multifamily Capital (WFMC).

Required Qualifications:
  • 6+ months of Commercial Real Estate Portfolio Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Ability to read, interpret and understand complex loan documents.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt and learn new software systems.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills
  • Experience working with Commercial Real Estate (CRE) and GSE (Agency loans) and related loan documents.
  • Solid problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to effectively communicate with varying internal bank personnel, customers, consultants.
  • Understanding of the GSE/Agency industry standards, Pooling and Servicing Agreements and the roles and responsibilities of the Master Servicer and Special Servicer.
  • Strong financial analysis of property operating statements, property rent rolls, and inspection reports.
  • Ability to multi-task various responsibilities while utilizing multiple systems.
