Wells Fargo is seeking a Commercial Banking Relationship Management Director (Market Executive) for Commercial Auto's Central Region. The Market Executive is a key leadership position responsible for leading and managing a banking team with the primary goals of providing solutions for our customers, focusing on building long-term customer relationships and deepening those relationships through strategic leadership, strong product knowledge, flawless deal execution, and superior customer service across middle market, and mid-corporate customers. Commercial Auto is part of Specialized Industries and provides commercial banking and treasury management products to its ~1000 U.S. franchised auto dealer clients and manages ~$13B in commitments and ~$3B in deposits. In this role, you will:
- Act as a subject matter expert to guide, influence, develop, retain, and grow moderate to high complex and strategic client relationships through the art of relationship management, by understanding the needs and priorities of clients and financial decision makers, responding quickly, communicating proactively but strategically, managing expectations, and soliciting feedback
- Manage and develop Relationship Managers on the negotiation, structure, modification, and renewal of moderate to high complexity real estate loans, floorplan (inventory finance) lines, revolvers and certain other solutions as well as supporting them in the analysis of financials, presenting to clients, and engaging and influencing internal and external stakeholders and partners
- Partner and collaborate with cross-functional leadership in driving successful outcomes for the Region
- Identify opportunities and strategies for process improvement and risk control development across Commercial Banking Relationship Management
- Lead relationship management team by making strategic decisions to resolve highly complex issues to meet higher risk deliverables; interpret and develop range of policies and procedures for functions with moderate to higher complexity and risk
- Collaborate with and influence all levels of professionals, including senior leadership, represent the company externally, and strategically lead all levels across the enterprise, to resolve internal escalations, including significant and complex client issues, while achieving Wells Fargo's business objectives
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and align with strategic objectives for multiple areas; develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy and serve as a mentor for less experienced individuals
- Strategically lead team in driving relationship planning activities and maintain sales and pipeline disciplines by keeping information current in relevant systems
- Partner with Product Management to provide vision, leadership, and expertise on client and market needs that enable large-scale companywide strategies that significantly influence the organization's business and influence financial operations
- Strategically lead team to offer the full suite of solutions to meet clients' needs, by developing best practices to engage product organizations and understand clients' businesses, strategic objectives, operational priorities, and financial positions
- Lead relationship management team to support the sourcing of new clients, focused on building long-term, profitable relationships through strategic leadership, excellent product knowledge, flawless deal execution, and superior customer service
- 8+ years of Commercial Banking Relationship Management experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 4+ years of management experience
- Experience developing partnerships and collaborating with other business and functional areas
- Experience with successfully collaborating with others in a change driven environment
- Knowledge and understanding of underwriting for mid-corporate clients: advanced commercial and floorplan credit
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of credit policy, compliance, and underwriting requirements
- Leadership experience including mentoring and coaching with an emphasis on building strong diverse teams
- Sales and marketing leadership experience
- Ability to develop and execute market strategies and goals
- Underwriting experience involving advanced commercial relationship portfolio credit
- Proven success as a strategically focused sales leader and/or individual contributor
- Exhibit an enthusiastic leadership style, driven and results oriented; comfortable working in a collaborative environment
- Work in close collaboration with our credit and risk partners while still maintaining ownership of the portfolio
- 50%+ travel
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
Salary is just one component of Wells Fargo's total rewards package. Depending on the role, a Wells Fargo's employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
$249,500.00 - $518,300.00
