Wells Fargo is seeking dynamic and highly skilled candidates to join our CIB Banking COO team, which plays a critical role in shaping Wells Fargo's Capital Markets strategic direction through execution, expertise, and strong communication skills.
Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) delivers a comprehensive suite of banking, capital markets and advisory solutions, including a full complement of sales, trading, and research capabilities, to corporate, government and institutional clients. We focus on our clients' overall financial needs, with consideration and respect for their total relationship with Wells Fargo.
The role is core to running the day-to-day operations of the Debt Capital Markets Loan Syndication business, primarily focused on the management of the Distribution Risk portfolio, syndicated loan execution, internal and external reporting, and working with the broader Wells Fargo organization (Finance, Analytics, Marketing, Compliance, etc) to deliver on strategically critical projects for executive leadership.

In this role, you will
- Partner with front office bankers and business leadership to manage CIB Banking's Distribution Risk portfolio and reporting infrastructure
- Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend solutions to streamline processes across businesses
- Facilitate cross-functional teams in executing initiatives on behalf of executive leadership
- Develop and present strategic recommendations to senior management to guide long-term solutions
- Communicate complex strategic insights and actionable recommendations clearly to internal and external stakeholders while working closely with departments across CIB Banking (Credit, Finance, Operations, Independent Risk Management, etc.)
- Directly work with product and coverage bankers to manage accuracy and integrity within CRM pipelines and reporting applications
- Support the development and maintenance of Debt Capital Markets Risk and Control suite and self-identify gaps that could result in material risk to the business and propose/assess new controls as needed
- 2+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Bachelors degree or higher in fields such as business, finance, or economics
- Proficient in Excel and Powerpoint
- Enthusiasm to take on new and challenging tasks in dynamic environment and demonstrated ability to juggle and execute high volume of competing priorities within strict deadlines
- Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas to drive results and effect change
- Strong communication and presentation skills in relation to people at all levels of the organization
- Knowledge and understanding of Capital Markets, including debt and equity products, and M&A business
- Previous experience in Investment Banking, Finance, Control, Compliance, and/or Operational Risk programs preferred
