Credit Risk independently oversees the management of credit risk exposures (including monitoring and reporting on aggregate credit exposures across groups, legal entities, geographies, and jurisdictions) and the quality of credit risk management practices across the company. This oversight extends to all phases of a loan's life cycle, including origination, underwriting, risk analysis, approval, documentation, monitoring, loss recognition, modification, and collection activities. Credit Risk develops, maintains, and ensures adherence to companywide credit risk frameworks, policies, and procedures that are aligned with Board-approved risk appetite.

RAR is the company's internal loan review function and is foundational to the credit risk management function at Wells Fargo. RAR independently evaluates the quality of lending practices in the businesses and shares its findings with the Chief Credit Officer and line of business management. RAR reports all significant credit issues to members of the Allowance Approach and Allowance Approval Committees, Executive Management, and the Credit Committee of the Board of Directors.

The RAR MIS team is a high performing and important function that supports the broader RAR organization with the RAR Application Suite, foundational and examination data processing, application and process support, as well as the output and reporting of examination results and activities. This new Analytics Consultant role will predominantly work alongside other members of the team to support the new Monthly New Borrower process. Additionally, the person will provide support to the RAR organization with the review and distribution of output and reporting, processing and vetting of information, updating and distribution of documentation, and other tasks as assigned.

In this role, you will:
  • Consult with business line and enterprise functions on less complex research.
  • Use functional knowledge to assist in non-model quantitative tools that support strategic decision making.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
  • Execute strong analytical capabilities to evaluate data, assess risk, and create reports.
  • Ensure adherence to data management or data governance regulations and policies.
  • Collaborate and consult with more experienced consultants and with partners in technology and other business groups.
Required Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools and techniques to process borrower applications.
  • Ability to analyze financial reports to assess financial health.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with credit risk and risk management.
  • Experience processing datasets efficiently, ensuring data quality and integrity for accurate assessment.
  • Strong commercial credit analysis skills with high attention to detail and accuracy ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate issues, risks, and proposed solutions effectively and succinctly, in both written and verbal formats with senior leaders
  • Ability to provide credible challenge and candor to peers.
  • Ability to perform quantitative and qualitative analysis and document conclusions in an articulate and succinct manner.
  • A BS/BA degree or higher in accounting, finance, or economics.
  • Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members.
  • Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities.
  • Provide support for moderately complex assessments.
  • Knowledge of business process flows and excellent project management skills.
  • Domain knowledge within banking.
Job Expectations:
  • This position is eligible for Visa sponsorship.

  • This position offers a hybrid work schedule.
Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$63,600.00 - $135,700.00
