About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking talent to join the 2025 Summer Intern Program for our Advanced Data and Analytics Program (ADAP) team which is composed of a group of highly motivated analytics professionals that develop and execute data driven solutions across modeling, marketing sciences, channel analytics and customer sciences areas of Wells Fargo Analytics community. To achieve ADAP's broad objectives, we are seeking talented individuals aiming to develop their business analytics and data engineering skills through solving business problems using a range of advanced analytics methods.

ADAP interns will join Wells Fargo as part of a 10-week program during the summer of 2025, partnering with various Wells Fargo Consumer Businesses to develop advanced analytics solutions to bank's top priorities. You will be gaining experience across line-of-businesses through short term projects in a consulting style environment with final presentation to Wells Fargo Executives during last week of the internship. ADAP interns will receive robust on the job training and have access to mentoring and networking.

In this role, you will:
  • Formulate and answer strategic questions using rigorous analytics while developing a clear, simple, and compelling story to influence management and gain buy-in.
  • Perform statistical and mathematical model development / validation / audit using Python, R, SAS, C++ and SQL or other programming languages and mathematical / statistical packages.
  • Utilize knowledge of the business, customers, and products to synthesize results and form a story in a thoughtful and impactful presentations to business partners to drive future strategies.
  • Act as a data strategist to identify and integrate datasets from multiple sources to develop insights and support strategic initiatives.
  • Identify and develop the right set of metrics, analytics methodology, and reports / presentations to communicate actionable insights.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
Ideal Candidate for this role will:
  • Energetic self-starter who proactively takes initiative, remains curious and has a genuine interest in learning and growth.
  • Review various assignments to become familiar with policies and procedures for which answers can be quickly obtained, related to low-to-medium risk tasks and deliverable.
  • Receive direction from a manager and exercise independent judgment while developing understanding of compliance and risk management requirements for the supported area.
  • Working knowledge of Python, SQL, or R.
  • Awareness of Big Data technologies and their applications.
Required Qualifications:
  • 6+ months of work experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Seeking candidates with a master's degree graduation date between September 1st, 2025 and August 14th, 2026.
  • Current enrollment in a master's degree program in a quantitative discipline at an accredited college or university
  • Exceptional analytical thinking, quantitative, problem solving and communication skills.
  • Self-starter, demonstrated strong work ethic and an ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to multi-task and keep numerous projects on track.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills
  • Involvement in extracurricular enrichment activities through one or more of the following: volunteerism, student
  • Energetic self-starter who proactively takes initiative, remains curious and has a genuine interest in learning and growth.
