Overview

We are seeking a highly impactful and dynamic Strategic Segment Leader - Food and Environmental, to drive and lead our Go-to-Market efforts into the Food and Environmental Segment. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in developing, executing, and optimizing sales and marketing strategies tailored to specific customer segments. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, leverage market insights, and craft impactful campaigns that drive business growth, brand awareness, and customer loyalty.

Responsibilities

  • Market Segmentation Strategy: Develop and implement sub-segmentation strategies based on end customer, behavior, and market opportunity within the Food and Environmental sector of Life Science Tools. Define customer needs and pain points across workflows and map those to Water's Right to Win to ensure targeted and effective sales and marketing efforts into our most opportune segments.
  • Customer Insights & Research: Conduct market research and customer analysis to gain deep insights into segment-specific pain points, preferences, and buying behaviors, driving more personalized campaigns while curating information back into our product teams for product development and enhancement.
  • Tailored Messaging & Positioning: Work with the content and product marketing teams to create and adapt messaging, value propositions, and content tailored to specific segments, ensuring relevance and resonance with each group.
  • Campaign Development & Execution: Design marketing campaigns targeting distinct market segments, driving engagement, leads, funnel fill and conversions. Adapting our activity to the appropriate sales and marketing channels to ensure success and impact.
  • Sales enablement and implementation: Work with sales and field marketing teams to effectively deploy segment approaches within each of our regions. Defining specific sales activity plans, and further ensuring the field teams are equipped to sell and position our portfolio into the target markets.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, product, and service teams to align segment-specific marketing strategies with business goals and customer-facing initiatives.
  • Performance Metrics & Reporting: Monitor the performance of segment-specific campaigns, using data analytics to measure success and optimize strategies for improved ROI.
  • Customer Journey Mapping: Develop customer journey maps for each segment, identifying touchpoints and creating strategies that guide prospects through the sales funnel to conversion.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 8+ years of experience in marketing, with a focus on strategic segment marketing, customer segmentation, or related areas.
  • 5-10 years of experience working in or supporting the Food and Environmental segment
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies within specific market segments.
  • Strong understanding of data-driven marketing, customer insights, and analytics.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teaBms and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Expertise in digital marketing, content creation, and multi-channel campaign execution.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and mentor teams.
