Overview
The Instrument Software Product Manager role is essential in developing and implementing software product strategies that reflect market trends and customer requirements. This highly visible, exciting role will be responsible for leading the software product management of the next generation instrument portfolio within the QA/QC business segment. This role directly collaborates with the technical software product owner, ensuring alignment with market and customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers to understand the instrument software market, competition and user requirements in-depth.
- Establish a compelling vision and strategy for instrument software and achieve consensus from cross-functional team members and executives.
- Develop solutions to problems by collaborating across engineering, marketing, and other functions, developing clear roadmaps and requirements documentation.
- Develop and present cases for new product initiatives, demonstrating potential market impact and return on investment. Forecast product performance and advise pricing strategies.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field; MBA or equivalent experience preferable.
- Proven track record of success in a software product management role, preferably in a life sciences technology-driven environment. IVD instrumentation experience is considered a big plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with diverse stakeholders.
- Analytical mentality with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
- Experience with developing cases, collaborating closely directly with customers, and understanding business needs.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
