Overview
Provide manufacturing technical support, cellular/team leadership, management of production goals and objectives, and oversight of personnel in assigned production areas. Assist in analyzing and determining the corrective action for problems associated with HPLC instruments, systems or manufacturing processes. Champion department quality objectives and quality systems adherence.
Responsibilities
- Primary duties include the production assistance and technical support necessary for the department to meet production schedules and quality goals while assisting in other duties as directed by department manager.
- Manage and provide leadership within assigned production areas to fully support the production output of those areas, with communication of status to department management.
- Provide daily support to department by assisting in troubleshooting problems associated with systems, instruments, modules, sub-assemblies, processes, tooling, and material.
- Assist in determining and initiating the corrective action for problems identified in instruments, assemblies, processes, tooling, and material.
- Provide training for department personnel for assembly, test or operation of new and existing instrument, equipment, or processes.
- Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering on the following areas:
- Suggest, plan, and assist in the design of simple devices and/or fixtures to be incorporated into the manufacturing process.
- Implement methods to improve manufacturing processes.
- Assist in reviewing and/or updating documentation for processes and assembly equipment.
- Perform routine measurements using standard measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, etc).
- Assist in transferring new products, assemblies, equipment and processes from New Product Introduction into Instrument Operations.
- Gather, correlate and assist in analyzing process/product quality data.
- Develop, perform, and/or assist in preventative maintenance and calibration of department equipment.
- Assist in analysis and reporting of returned goods (startup failures, etc).
- Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications to include one of the following:
- Associates Degree in Electro/Mechanical with two years experience.
High School and additional post secondary education with 4 years experience or equivalent
