Overview

Join the pursuit of engineering excellence at Waters! We're seeking a Senior Analyst to join our Global IT Organization, specializing in Mechanical CAD Systems.

As our Senior Analyst, you'll be the backbone of our mechanical engineering teams, driving global improvements to processes and systems, including integration with our SAP PLM environment.

Beyond support, you'll be a collaborator and influencer, leveraging your expertise to design, test, deploy, and promote the adoption of new processes and systems across our global network of engineers.

This position will report into the Engineering Systems IT team and offers the flexibility to be based in either our Milford, US or Wilmslow, UK facilities.

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive administration and support of MCAD systems• Act as a key player in enhancing our Mechanical Design capabilities• Work closely with Waters's global network of mechanical engineers to understand current processes and systems• Assist in the development, deployment, and delivery of new processes and functionality, supported by appropriate training programs and super-user groups• Build and nurture strong relationships within the organization at all levels• Ensure regular software updates for ongoing tool interoperability• Triage and resolve user issues• Maintain Mechanical parts libraries, e.g., connectors, screws, and other common parts• Manage time effectively, set priorities, and escalate management issues• Independently solve technical challenges• Identify and implement best practices to simplify business processes across the global network, facilitating digitalization and automation• Maintain up-to-date process and system documentation• Stay informed about industry trends, share best practices, benchmark against other companies and indices with a view to fostering innovation and competitive advantage• Support cost/benefit analysis and develop business cases for recommended projects involving process, system, or technology change• Apply Lean/Agile principles to drive continuous improvement

Qualifications

• BS / B.Eng Degree or have equivalent experience in the field of Mechanical Design• Certification in Solidworks Professional is highly desirable• Master-level proficiency in the use and configuration of MCAD and related tools such as Solidworks, NX, DSC ECTR, SAP, Ansys, Mathworks, Capital Harness, IDF files• Understanding of product development processes applicable to Mechanical Design• Proficiency in MS Office tools: Teams, Word, Excel, Powerpoint• Team player with excellent communication skills• Problem solver who enjoys tackling complex design challenges• Lifelong learner who is committed to staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies• Innovator who can think outside the box and bring fresh perspectives to our team
