Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Director, Global Talent. This role is pivotal in setting and executing Water's global talent strategy, encompassing talent management, leadership development, succession planning and management, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB), and performance management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing a global team and fostering a high-performance culture.
Responsibilities
Talent Management and Development:
- Audit existing programs to define global talent development lifecycle value chain.
- Develop and implement comprehensive talent management strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent globally.
- Develop and implement career pathing and individual development planning strategies and programs to advance development and careers for broad-based employees.
- Partner with HRBPs and Talent Acquisition to create repeatable framework with consistent outcomes for early career rotation programs.
- Regularly engage with employees and leaders to understand sentiment and needs assessments to improve overall engagement. Partner with HRBPs to enable targeted solutions.
- Activate a global team of talent professionals to support global workforce.
- Monitor and action voice of employee insights.
- Utilize data-driven insights to identify talent gaps and create targeted development plans.
- Investigate, design and implement with HRIS appropriate software related programs, training platforms, and AI innovation.

Leadership Development:
- Design and implement leadership capability model and thread through talent attraction, talent development, rewards and talent management practices
- Lead the design and implementation of repeatable management and leadership development programs to improve the overall employee experience and to support pipeline of future leaders.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to senior leaders, enhancing their leadership capabilities.
- Design and activate global high performing teams' curriculum.
- Reimagine Enterprise Leader development program in partnership with premier academic institution.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and development across the organization.
Succession Management:
- Develop and maintain a succession planning framework to ensure business continuity and leadership readiness.
- Identify critical roles and high-potential employees, creating tailored development plans for succession candidates.
- Actively manage and advance talent through the succession pipelines.
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to deliver comprehensive strategic workforce plan annually.
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB):
- Champion DEIB initiatives, promoting an inclusive workplace culture.
- Implement programs and policies that support diversity and equity in hiring, promotion, and retention.
- Monitor and report on DEIB metrics, driving continuous improvement.
Performance Management:
- Lead the strategy and execution of DEIB to both promoting an inclusive workplace culture and advance difference and diversity of thought.
- Advance capability for inclusive leadership as part of talent development curriculum.
- Monitor and report on DEIB metrics, driving continuous improvement.
Global Team Leadership:
- Manage and inspire a diverse, global team of talent professionals.
- Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing across regions and functions.
- Ensure consistent application of talent frameworks and outcomes across globe.
Qualifications
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in talent management and leadership development with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven experience designing, facilitating and coaching talent at all levels.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Collaborative and influential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and drive change at all levels of the organization.
