Overview

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Accounting Executive at Waters India Private Limited in Bengaluru. The Senior Accounting Executive will be responsible for Accounting, Global and Statutory Financial Reporting, Indirect Taxes Compliances, Audit and other business support activities.

Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility of General Ledger Accounting for Waters India Pvt Ltd: Operational day-to-day general ledger accounting.
  • Passing necessary GL entries in the SAP for local statutory reporting and/or global reporting
  • Overall lead for month end accounts closing and final submission of reporting package to APAC.
  • Preparing monthly Opex analysis working for submission in APAC. Preparing OMC and OMX variance analysis.
  • Preparing necessary Black Line reconciliations each month. Preparing balance sheet reconciliation and handling balance sheet reviews
  • Handling overall GST compliance for Waters India: Monthly Returns GSTR 1 and GSTR 3 B for 9 Locations in coordination with regional finance managers. Handling queries from GST Departments of various States.
  • Managing and monitoring the inventory provisions and highlighting risks at early stage for early intervention to avoid hit to P&L.
  • Reporting to APAC in defined format.
  • Leading Statutory Audit handling audit entries and preparing financial statements as per India GAAP with notes to accounts. Managing and controlling the audit adjustments Journal entries; Correctly passing them in Local Statutory GLs.
  • Supporting FP&A for AOP and Budgeting with data for actuals in required format etc.
  • Field Sales, Service Management Incentive calculations with regional distributions of credits, sharing final calculations with stakeholders, handling queries of sales & service associates.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting & finance with minimum 10 years' experience in financial accounting and reporting in an MNC Set-up.
  • Good communications skills and able to work effectively with teams in India and Globally.
  • Expertise in Indian Accounting Standards and proficiency in US GAAP
  • Experience of working in SAP ERP environment.
  • Communicate frequently with multiple stakeholders internal and external.
  • The successful candidate will be a self-starter and a collaborative team-player.
  • Candidate will also have excellent written communication skills, solid organizational, risk assessment and IT aptitude.
  • Solid proficiency in MS Excel with strong analytical skills.
