Overview

This position will interface with various internal departments at all levels as well as extremal tax jurisdictions. In this role, you will be responsible for all tasks involved in the preparation and reporting of indirect tax returns for multiple business legal entities, while ensuring the company is compliant with tax laws and regulations. This role will also be responsible for ad hoc projects as they may arise.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, File, and Pay assigned tax returns
  • Process amended and refund claims for assigned states
  • Manage ALL notices and register new locations for assigned States
  • Post JE's for all Tax returns assigned to you
  • Reconcile/Post Pcard Use Tax activity quarterly
  • Complete all compliance related work for audits
  • Coded ERP system when new Part Numbers are added (backup)
  • Reconcile a group of tax accounts
  • Special project as they arise

Qualifications

  • 2 or 4 year degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3-5 years of tax compliance related work
  • Strong MS Office skills with focus on Excel
  • Ability to multi task and adhere to mandatory deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expertise with OneSource or Certify Tax systems
  • State indirect tax knowledge
