Overview
Waters is currently seeking a Distribution Planner to join our organization to support our European Distribution Center operations in Etten-Leur, the Netherlands. The Distribution Planner is responsible for fulfilling internal and external customer orders in accordance with requested delivery dates, and will also be involved in improvement projects initiated at both local and global levels.
Reporting to the Logistics Office Supervisor, this role works in an environment which requires cross functional collaboration with supply planning, subsidiary partners, IT multiple distribution centers and manufacturing sites.
Responsibilities
- Works with various departments and individuals across multiple organizations to ensure materials flow through the European distribution center in a timely manner
- Order fulfillment management: Liaise with subsidiary partners and customer order services to manage and review orders placed to ensure customer orders are delivered per request dates
- Approximately 25- 50% of the time will be dedicated to driving improvement projects initiated at both local and global levels
- Identify and develop methods and processes to drive improvements where necessary
- Proactively identify and resolve issues that can impact the customer
- Manage timely execution of SAP actions to ensure uninterrupted supply to internal and external customers
- Make decisions quickly and consistently act with a bias towards urgency to execute inventory allocations for order fulfillment
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to manage delivery creation and prioritize order processing to achieve customer requested delivery dates
- Review backlog and shortage reports, communicate to Order Entry what orders are expected to be covered and what orders are expected to be shorted so that allocations can be executed as determined by the regional business
- Monitors back-ordered items and expedite delivery with factories with the intent to maximize company's revenue especially during quarter close
- Proactively identify materials that could hold up customer orders and take necessary actions with Planning & Mfg sites
- Assess inventory levels with attention to storage space and expiration (of shelf-life products) and collaborate with Planning to optimize inventory
- Comply with and apply the Waters Global Trade rules regarding compliance in case of blocked orders (GTS screening)

Qualifications
- Minimum Diploma in Business, Logistics Management, or related disciplines
- 2+ years of relevant order management or distribution planning experience required
- Dutch B1 level
- Proficient in SAP and MS office is a must
- Dependable and able to work independently
- Sense of urgency as to objectives and timelines, while maintaining flexibility to shifting priorities
- Vocal with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Analytical and meticulous with good follow up skills
- Team player, proactive and possesses positive attitude
- Acts as a true company owner to advance the overall interests of Waters
- Actively creates the conditions for Waters' people and teams to succeed
