Overview
Waters-ERA is currently leading a search for a Sr. Production Technician who is primarily responsible for product packaging, labeling, assembling, and inventory control for Waters ASR & ERA products. The Sr. Production Technician will work closely with the manufacturing supervisors, Quality, and EH&S to ensure the highest level of product quality and value are provided to Waters-ERA customers.
The successful candidate will be a passionate and agile, who strives to deliver superior value to our internal and external customers every day. This hands-on position requires excellent interpersonal skills, problem solving, critical thinking as well as a compelling initiative to see the organization succeed.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary Packaging of Waters-ERA Products.
- Labelling, organization, and storage of Work in Progress (WIP).
- Basic production of products to documented specifications.
- Fulfilling work orders to meet customer delivery dates.
- Order pick, review, and pack of finished goods.
- Documentation and peer review of the production and packaging process.
- Assisting Laboratory Chem Techs/Chemists during manufacturing.
- Inventory control and cycle counts of Finished Goods via Microsoft Great Plains or SAP.
- Assist in other areas when required.
- Responsible for ensuring 100% compliance to specifications by ensuring proper packaging, labelling, and production documentation.
- Focus on process control to avoid customer impacted Service Requests.
- Attention to detail, organization, and ability to work quickly without errors.
- Responsible for following written work procedures and SOPs to avoid variation in the process.
- Assist team in updating and improving processes and updating SOPs documents.
- Assist team in constant improvement and solutions to problems/issues while increasing efficiency.
- Support a physically and mentally safe environment for all employees and coworkers.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High School Education or GED required with 3-5 years of experience working/intern in a laboratory environment
- Or BS./B.A. in Science related field and 1-3 years of experience working/intern in a laboratory environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Attention to detail, organization, and ability to work quickly without errors
- Ability to work with your hands requiring dexterity to handle small containers and packaging materials
- Ability to work on one's own initiative as well as in a Team environment
- Ability to work in a culture with productivity expectations and quantity output goals
- Demonstrate sound judgment and ability to utilize Lean methods for problem solving
- Ability to review work and find errors
- Must be willing to perform repetitive routine tasks consistently as well as non-routine tasks
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs
- Familiar with various Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, etc.)..
