Overview
An exciting opportunity to join a busy indirect team within the European Procurement department, this role supports the indirect purchase order function within the SAP Ariba platform, you will be liaisingwith Waters colleagues across various European sites and suppliers, placement and expediting of indirect purchase orders.
Responsibilities
- Review and progress requisitions in the Ariba platform for indirect purchases.
- Sourcing, negotiating and buying of goods, materials and services to meet the company's indirect requirements as required
- Ensure on time and in full delivery
- Timely resolution of delivery & invoice reconciliations
- Support the indirect procurement function, communicating any supply problems which may impact on business operations.
- Act as an interface between suppliers and other departments on purchasing processes and new projects and activities
- Work closely with other members of the procurement function and review opportunities for continuous improvements.
- Vendor management for procurement and maintenance of the QS
- Management of drawing packs relating to RFx activities for direct materials.
- Ensure progress against departmental KPI's and personnel indicators

Qualifications
Education:
- Minimum qualifications of GCSE in English & Maths
- SAP Ariba Buying & Invoicing desired but not required
- Working knowledge of Microsoft product (word, excel, powerpoint)
- Proven knowledge of ISO 9001, 13485 and 21 CFR part 820 desired
Experience:
- Experience in a similar role
Competencies:
- Be a self starter and highly motivated
- Ability to work independantly & part of a team
- Ability to travel on company business with a clean or acceptable UK driving licence
- Ability to negotiate on behalf of the company

- Potential European travel
