Responsibilities

  • To ensure that Laboratory at the Waters Global Capability Centre, Bangalore provides the necessary capabilities to enable all projects requirements for all the Laboratory instruments and ensures achievement of the required-up time for seamless support.
  • Facilitate and process the delivery, procurement of any new instruments/equipment for any new requirements for the GCC Laboratory. Coordinate with the cross functional teams like facilities and finance for seamless support on above.
  • Keep the Laboratory instruments functional all the time, own/ facilitate installation of new systems, Laboratory optimisation, Preventive Maintenance and be responsible for overall Laboratory Management.
  • Maintain and track the Laboratory consumables, solvents, spares and other operational items necessary for day-to-day functioning of the Laboratory and, make an overall budget for the Laboratory and track variations, report the same to Laboratory Sponsors and stakeholders.

Qualifications

Mandatory Skill Set/(s):

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of field service experience on Waters LCMS and Agilent GC product lines. OEM certification will be having added advantage.
  • Can carryout Installation, Preventive Maintenance, Repair, Maintenance and Qualification for Waters LCMS and Agilent GC systems independently.
  • Expert in handling Software's like, Empower, Masslynx, Waters connect.
  • Expert in handling other competitor software like Thermo (Chromelion), and Agilent software (Chem station, Open Laboratory etc) and Wyatt Softwares (Astra), Brooker (Hystar), Sciex (Analyst) would be added advantage.
  • Must have troubleshooting skill in terms of Instrumentation and Application related issues for Waters LCMS, Agilent GC system and Wyatt Mals Detectors.
  • Good Communication Skills

Additional Skillset desired:

  • Experience in large or medium size Laboratory and related management aspects and Instrument allocation and prioritization for the stakeholders/projects
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Laboratory Inventory management
  • Safety stock management
  • Laboratory safety awareness
  • Laboratory Audit experience.
  • Organization of Laboratory training, collecting post training feedback for the attendees.
  • Having good exposure to handle wet Laboratory including the below:
  • Good knowledge of basic chemistry
  • Mobile phase preparation
  • Sample preparation
  • PC reimaging
