Overview
Waters has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Financial Analyst to join our team focused on supporting the newly created Biologics Business Unit. This new business unit has a global presence which combines both R&D capabilities and a dedicated Go-To-Market team. This team is focused on delivering above market growth and continuing to solve problems that matter for our customers. The Principal Financial Analyst will report to the Finance Director, Biologics Business Unit. This position will partner closely with both R&D leaders and Sales & Marketing team to drive accelerating performance.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary finance business partner to both R&D and Sales teams which may include financial modeling and benchmarking, executive reporting of key performance indicators and communicating cohesive and concise findings.
- Be the lead FP&A consolidation point for all global reporting related to the Biologics business unit. Ensure all technical requirements are met and business systems match intended outcome. Build and deploy all required monthly/quarterly supporting financial packages.
- Contribute significantly to the annual process of developing strategic plans and AOP plans. This role will support these processes through business partnering, financial/reason modeling and communicating with senior leadership. The role may be asked to define financial targets for the business using key business assumptions.
- Act as the main finance contact for cross-functional teams involved in key company initiatives. Provide financial analysis and support for business reviews and decisions, covering areas such as operational efficiency, critical metrics, arguments, cases, and reasons.
- Assist with month-end close process including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and various analyses. Provide any Ad hoc financial analysis upon request

Qualifications
- BS in Finance required, MBA or equivalent experience preferred, with a minimum of 10 years of experience
- Highly proficient in financial analysis modeling and reporting of important metrics
- Robust communication skills - particularly with senior leadership
- Ability to mentor others
