Overview

The Strategy & Operational Excellence team is on a mission to improve both our customer and employee experience by redefining how we plan, buy, make, and distribute products in Waters Global Operations. Our four pillars of focus include: Strategy, Processes and Systems, Continuous Improvement, and Insights.

As Project Manager Business Planning Excellence, you will drive improvements to process and systems in demand planning and E2E supply planning feeding into an enterprise-wide state-of-the-art IBP (coordinated business planning) process as part of an interdisciplinary, high-performing team. This will require you to collaborate with, and influence colleagues across our global network, drawing on both your own domain knowledge, as well as the cross-functional team you will be leading, to craft, test, deploy, and drive adoption of new processes and systems.

This role will report to the Sr. Director, Business Planning Excellence.

Location: Either Milford (US) or Wilmslow (UK)

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement state-of-the-art Demand Planning and E2E Supply Planning processes, first in pilots and later the roll-out to the entire Waters corporation
  • Collaborate within a cross-functional team of subject-matter experts from both business and technology backgrounds from Finance, Commercial, Portfolio Management, and Supply Chain
  • Work with functional leaders across functions and sites to develop a good understanding of current processes and systems
  • Identify standard methodologies to be adopted into current Waters' business processes
  • Build a prioritized roadmap of changes to be introduced, working with both business leaders on other transformation leads to reach alignment
  • Design and validate proposed changes
  • Deploy new processes and functionality
  • Collaborate with stakeholders outside of Global Operations to ensure alignment with the overall enterprise, e.g., with respect to master data governance, and enterprise IT systems
  • Act as a change agent connecting with key users and motivating change

Qualifications

  • 7+ years dynamic experience in supply chain planning, finance, or operations, including solid understanding of one or more specific areas, esp. demand planning or supply planning or finance or sales
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams
  • Process discovery, design, and implementation experience
  • Knowledge of SAP capabilities, specifically SAP ECC and APO DP
  • Ability to link processes to IT functionalities
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong influencing skills, consistent record to work across organizational boundaries driving change and harmonization across a global organization
  • Collaborative, listens and assimilates other viewpoints to come up with a better solution
  • Agile, adaptable and resilient, able to prioritize multiple priorities, act with urgency, and lead ambiguity
  • Customer-centric, invests time in understanding customer requirements
  • Results oriented, takes ownership and operates with high sense of urgency. Consistent record of solving problems, breaking down barriers and delivering results ahead of schedule
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • ASCM certification a plus
  • Experience with SAP APO DP or IBP and Celonis a plus
  • BSc Degree or equivalent in an Engineering, Science or Supply Chain subject area. Master's Degree or equivalent experience preferred #LI-Hybrid
