Overview

Waters Wilmslow are looking for a Production Planner to work within the Operations team supporting the daily business needs and supporting the supply of our vital equipment.

Within this role you will support Wilmslow manufacturing output, shipments to field service engineers and ensure customers needs are managed and met. Handling the Planning of all In house manufactured spares and options supply plans. Maintaining materials availability to support absorption forecast and field demand.

Completing inventory to support instruments, spare parts and options are handled efficiently and in line with departmental budgets and forecasts.

Responsibilities

Production Planning

  • Interpret and action instrument build plans, demand and supply signals in APO.
  • Ensure manufacturing output targets are handled and met.
  • Monitor Inventory to support instrument spares and options in line with department budgets and forecasts.
  • Handle flow of manufacturing WIP between the warehouse and all Wilmslow work centres.
  • Ensure accurate ATP lead times.
  • Ensure customer critical issues are handled optimally.
  • Build and maintain adherence to non instrument absorption in line with company targets.

Financial

  • Departmental Budgets (Preparation & Adherence)

System Management

  • Build maintain & lead inventory plans in support of the Instrument & spares business throughout the corporation.
  • Handle Supply plans in ECC and APO.

Qualifications

To be successful you will:

  • Maintain the efficiency of the Quality System at the sites via adherence to applicable policies and procedures.
  • Complete Quality System related actions in a timely manner.
  • Practised in the application of SOP processes, MRP II and Demand and supply management.
  • Experience of driving inventory reduction and improvement of customer on time delivery.
  • Able to chair regular meetings with work centre managers and purchasing.
  • Financial savvy.
  • Ability to work in a constantly evolving environment where requirements and demand change at regular intervals.
