Overview

The Logistics Executive is responsible for driving operational performance excellence and initiatives to improve productivity, as well as the analysis and reporting of key metrices to support the business. Reporting to the Distribution & Logistics Senior Manager, this role works in an environment which requires cross functional collaboration with Vendors, Internal Customers and Global Distribution Centers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Malaysia 3PL warehouse activities; include receiving, storage, distribution, supplies requisition, resource management, inventory management and quarter end management
  • Responsible for Malaysia Vendor management (3PL, Freight Forwarder, Customs Broker, Transporter) in delivering KPIs for activities including but not limited to imports, exports, transportation, customs brokerage, warehouse storage & distribution
  • Manage Malaysia import clearance through appointed Customs Broker and coordinate necessary permit/license applications e.g. SIRIM permit, Poison license
  • Coordinates Malaysia local procurement and ensuring timely delivery to Customers
  • Responsible for Malaysia inventory management including review of back-ordered items and expedite deliveries from Distribution Centers, safety stock sizing, reviewing forecast, excess and obsolete reviews (E&O) and scrap
  • Coordinates inventory movements between Malaysia Field Service Engineers and warranty returns
  • Organize and coordinates Malaysia stock take twice annually
  • Joint responsibilities and cover for Australia warehouse activities
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive lean and continuous improvement projects on process and productivity improvements and cost reductions
  • Readily adapt to changing requirements or work assignments

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics & supply chain management, or related disciplines
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management
  • Experience in Malaysia imports, exports and customs regulations
  • Experience in International Trade preferred
  • Proficient in SAP and MS office is a must
  • Commitment to work Malaysia timezone 8.30am - 5.30pm (GMT+8), and for quarter ends
  • Able to work independently, self-motivated and well-organized
  • Vocal with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Analytical and meticulous with good follow up skills
  • Ability and willingness to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player, proactive and possesses positive attitude
