Overview

Waters has an exciting opportunity available for a Financial Analyst I to provide accounting support to the US Global Operations Finance team. As a department, the Global Operations Finance team provides accounting, analysis and reporting, support for our Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Facilities & Quality functions within Waters.

The Financial Analyst I will report to the Cost Accounting Manager and will collaborate closely with the Global Ops Finance Team.

This is a Hybrid position.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for financial activities including FP&A activities, Reporting tasks, journal entries, schedules preparations/reconciliations etc.
  • Assess current financial processes and help to define both long-term and short-term improvement plans with an eye on continuous improvement.
  • Assist in the Annual Operating Plan & Monthly Forecasting process for areas supported.
  • Focused on process improvement and makes recommendations for improving the organization's reporting.
  • Actively collaborate with key partners and cross-functional departments to get results and maintain compliance with internal controls.
  • Evaluate controls and engage in internal audits
  • Support for capital spend tracking/forecasting and associated legal entity reporting.
  • Develop and document work instructions and processes.
  • Supports inventory costing functions.
  • Participate in projects as appropriate.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree with 1-2 years of experience in Finance or Accounting, manufacturing company experience a plus.

Experience:

  • Position requires attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines.
  • Requires analytical approach, good communication and interpersonal skills with an internal drive to solve problems.
  • The individual must be able to work closely in a team environment.
  • Understanding of ERP fundamentals (e.g. SAP, Oracle), Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills.
