Overview
The Director of Global Compensation is responsible for the design, implementation, and on-going evaluation of Waters' broad-based employee compensation, short-term incentive, and recognition programs.
Reporting to the VP of Total Rewards, the role will work with leadership to ensure that compensation strategy and programs support the organization's business objectives and attract, retain, and grow extraordinary talent. This critical role will be a part of the Total Rewards Leadership Team and will lead a talented global team of Compensation professionals.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and administration of broad-based employee compensation programs and processes, including base pay, short-term incentives, job leveling, market analysis, and recognition
- Monitor the effectiveness of existing compensation practices and recommend changes that are cost-effective and consistent with compensation trends and corporate objectives
- Work with business leaders and Human Resources partners to create retention strategies and compelling offers to secure top talent
- Ensure appropriate level of compensation governance and business support across various functions and HR Business Partners
- Implement appropriate communication strategy and develop People Leader and employee education programs to ensure understanding of compensation programs
- Manage the annual compensation planning cycle and develop global budget recommendations
- Oversee the annual global compensation survey process by the Compensation Team including the purchase and participation of appropriate global salary surveys, maintenance of the survey database, annual analysis, and development of market ranges
- Lead the global pay transparency strategy and implementation
- Manage the global Compensation Team including hiring, retaining key talent, and career development
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all global regulations and industry best practices
- Provide employee integration support during mergers, acquisitions, and organizational changes

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business/Accounting/Finance, or related field
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of Compensation experience, preferably in a globally matrixed public company
- Skills include: Strong analytical thinking and data interpretation, communication, team leadership, project and program management
