Chemistry Inside Sales Account Manager! UK South.

Waters have recently created a team of elite highly focused individuals dedicated to hunting down net new and highly competitive business.

As a member of this team you will be armed with the Waters consumables portfolio then tasked with building advocacy and stimulating growth in up and coming accounts, prospecting for new companies who are not familiar with Waters products and services and breaking in to highly competitive strongholds to increase market share. You will be accountable for a defined sales territory in the south of the UK with clear goals and a great deal of flexibility in how you approach this task.

This is a remote field sales position and would suit either entry level or an experienced field sales professional who is looking to reduce travel and work more flexibly. We encourage you all to apply!

Responsibilities

  • Identify new prospect companies within your territory and develop a strategy to engage and introduce them to the Waters consumables portfolio
  • Investigate dormant accounts in order to re-stimulate growth
  • Increase market share in up and coming accounts, building advocacy for Waters consumable technology through customer success.
  • Work closely with your field sales colleagues, capital sales colleagues, business development and marketing to deliver a high degree of customer service and technical expertise.

Qualifications

Education:

    • Science related background and education

Experience:

    • Understanding of Liquid Chromatography to a high level.
    • Beneficial to have laboratory experience with liquid chromatography and/or Mass Spectrometry equipment.
    • Advantageous to have experience within technical sales, particularly in Chemistry Consumable.
    • Commercially focused and motivated by sales.

Competencies:

    • Highly passionate individual with perseverance, and determination, plus the ability to work effectively in competitive sales situations.
    • Passionate about remote sales, from establishing contact and building rapport, to managing sophisticated sales with multiple stakeholders using remote means.
    • Customer focused with good level of active listening skills.
    • Outstanding organisational skills.
    • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Solid team player with high degree of self-motivation
