This is a challenging sales career opportunity for a dynamic individual who is knowledgeable about chemistry and chromatography and is passionate about sharing that knowledge with others.

The successful candidate will drive Waters Chemistry Consumables business by developing new business and by maintaining and growing business in key accounts.

The Chemistry Account Manager I is responsible for selling Waters chemistry product lines. These include consumables for LC-MS, UPLC, HPLC, SFC, sample prep products, standards, vials, and other consumables.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve the organizational objectives and sales goals.
  • Addressing new accounts and maintaining existing customers in diverse markets (Pharma, Biopharma, Chemical materials, Food, Environmental, Academia).
  • Visiting regularly customers within the assigned territory;
  • Organizing, delivering and following up seminars and workshops at customer sites;
  • Providing customers with high quality technical advice whilst maintaining a focus on maximizing the sales potential;
  • Collaborating, liaising and providing guidance and support across departments to ensure customer success. You will be working closely with all other groups at Waters (e.g. Instrument Sales, Application team, Product & Market management team and Informatics etc.);
  • Formulating and successfully implementing business plans;
  • Planning and prioritising personal time and sales activities;
  • Using related systems, e.g. Compass, CRM, Sales Force, Quotation system, with a keen mind on improvements and upgrades.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelors Degree or Above in scientific area such as chemistry, biology, or biochemistry

Experience:

  • Knowledge of Mass Spectrometry (MS) and Liquid Chromatography (HPLC, UPLC);
  • 1-3 years experience in technical and practical solution Selling, particularly in Chemistry Consumables;

Skills:

  • Action oriented and eager to achieve results.
  • Strong technical background in analytical technologies, especially LC and MS
  • Ability to negotiate skilfully in tough situations
  • Sound communication and presentation skills
  • Highly organized / well-prepared / time management skills
  • Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin

Travel:

  • This is a territory-based position with travelling within your designated territory, and occasional travels to other countries for activities such as local business support, meetings and training.
