Overview

Waters is seeking a dynamic individual to fill the role of an Account Manager with a specialized focus on the Food & Beverage industry and expertise in developing relationships with CxO-level clients. In this pivotal position, the chosen candidate will be responsible for strategically driving sales within the Central and Southeast Region, promoting our comprehensive portfolio of cutting-edge products and services. This includes Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatography Systems, Mass Spectrometers, Software, Consumables, and Services. The ideal candidate will leverage their industry knowledge and adept customer relationship skills to cultivate and expand client partnerships, ensuring Waters remains at the forefront of innovation in the ever-evolving landscape of Food & Beverage solutions. The desired candidate should be a self starter in developing and implementing a Territorial Business Plan working in unison with their assigned specialists and marketing colleagues in delivering an aggressive call cycle and business development activities. The foundation of the Account Manager's role is to develop a keen understanding of the customers' needs and challenges, designing solutions with lasting and meaningful business impact to our customers. This position is based in Mexico City

Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Aggressively develop new prospects and penetrate competitive accounts.
  • Visit customers on a daily basis to highlight Waters solutions and help customers with their challenges.
  • Preparing business plans, territory plans, reports and relevant product solution documents for customers.
  • Planning, and executing the customer demonstrations with collaboration of the demo lab specialists.
  • Collaborating, liaising and providing guidance and support across departments to ensure customer success. You will be working closely with all other groups at Waters (e.g. Instrument Sales, Chemistry Operation and Informatics etc.
  • Planning and prioritising personal time and sales activities.
  • Managing the product mix and pricing to meet desired targets.
  • Adhering to Waters and customers relevant Health, Safety and Environment requirements when on site and as an individual employee.
  • Using and updating the Compass -Sales Force- on a daily basis to ensure accurate forecasting,
  • Participating in additional Sales related projects and activities as designated by management.

Qualifications

Education:

  • University Degree; in scientific areas such as chemistry, biology, or biochemistry

Experience:

  • Technical knowledge and practical solution selling experience minmum 3+ years in the field of Anlytical chromatograpahy or related.
  • Experience in a laboratory, with a background in chromatography and mass spectrometry;
  • Exposure within relevant field/industry;

Competencies:

  • Highly passionate individual with charisma, perseverance and determination, plus the ability to work effectively in competitive sales situations;
  • Customer focussed with very good listening skills;
  • Ability to understand, interpret and communicate complex technical issues;
  • Good interpersonal skills with a positive sense of humour and is able to contributing as part of an integrated sales/service organisation;
  • Good priority setting and organisational skills;
  • Knowledge of computers and the use of standard Windows based packages (knowledge of a Waters chromatography or mass spectrometry data system "EMPOWER" would also be desirable);
  • Proficient English and local Language Skills;

Travel:

  • A clean driving license and a valid passport will be required;
  • This is a territory-based position with travelling within your designated territory, and occasional travels to other countries for meetings and training.
