Primary Purpose of the Job:

Being one of the Trade members of the Studio Tour's Marketing Team, Business Development Executive will be responsible for both new account acquisition and account management of Trade Partners. Handling day to day queries regarding Partners enquiries, Marketing and future Sales plans. BDE will be the main point of contact for the Trade Partners and may be required to represent the Studio Tour at Trade sales and networking event. The role is based at Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Handle day to day Trade Partnerships activities with key focus on revenue optimization for the Studio Tour's Trade business
  • Support the evaluation of Trade Partners for the Studio Tour's business growth, handle from lead verification to partnership setup
  • Cultivate relationship for Win-Win Partnerships, leverage Partners' Network and Marketing for attraction's business and exposure optimization
  • Track market trends and demand, provide market and competitors updates to team
  • Develop effective relationship with internal teams including IT, Finance, Operations, Events and Commercial teams for cross teams collaborations
  • Help organising and handling the sales call, FAM trips, the setup and participation of local/ global Trade shows and networking events and represent Studio Tour at those events (business trips may require)
  • Handle the Trade Partner releases, ticket allocation, Leisure and Education groups leads
  • Help developing annual Trade plan to be aligned with Marketing budget and achieve given targets
  • Handle ad hoc project work as dictated by business needs
  • Handle the update of Trade Sales presentation and Marketing materials on a regular basis
  • As a member of Studio Tour Marketing team, assist in any activities when required

Selection Criteria

  • Relevant Previous Work Experience
  • Sales or Business Development experience
  • Experience in the Leisure / Tourism / Attractions industry an advantage

  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Excellent organisation, prioritisation and time management skills
  • Capability to handle uncertainty and take initiative to work on projects with least guidance

  • Resourceful, proactive with approachable personality
  • Ability to cope in a busy and challenging environment and work to fast deadlines.

Education/ Qualifications

  • More than 5 years work experience with at least 3 years of Sales or Business Development experiences in any of Travel, Hospitality, Hotel, Travel Agents, OTA, DMC and Attraction business
  • Business level of Japanese and English (speaking and written)
  • Have extensive network in Travel and Attraction industries will be an advantage
  • Bachelor's degree is required

At times, the role will require regular working during evenings, weekends and school holidays which are the peak operating times.
