Business Unit Overview:

  • The Admissions team ensuring the highest levels of service and engagement, ensuring that our visitor experience, from the first contact point to the last, exceeds expectations, follows our Star Values and encourages repeat visits.
  • First point of contact for any issues brought forward by the ticket scanning and Car Park teams.
  • Liaise with the uniform contractor to ensure a high level of performance of the associates.

Primary Purpose of the Job:

  • To maximize team performance to exceed guest expectations consistently
  • To make the best on the spot decisions in each situation as a team lead
  • To Provide and coach team members for their own personal development as team lead
  • To collaborate and communicate proactively with appropriate stakeholders and other divisions for own growth and development
  • To communicate with each manager to ensure organization's transparency and teamwork in order to achieve company's goal
  • To support manager and director

Essential Job Functions:

  • Work with the IT, Call Centre and R&B team to ensure Galaxy ticketing system is working, any issues are resolved, and all reports are accurate
  • Liaise with the Facilities team to rectify all maintenance issues within the car park and front of house areas
  • Maintain a safe environment by ensuring all risk assessments are up to date and that all team members are aware of their responsibilities, especially in the event of an emergency
  • Complete an opening checklist - ensuring that any issues raised have been reported to the appropriate persons.
  • Complete a closing checklist and end of day report - ensuring that any issues raised have been reported to the appropriate persons and a handover for the day is sent.
  • Ensure the safety of visitors and staff at all times, ensuring that all staff operate in accordance with WBSTT H&S policies and procedures at all times. All staff to wear the appropriate PPE.
  • Ensure all monies, revenue and lost property are kept safe and secure in accordance with policy and procedure
  • Ensure the time and attendance system is kept accurate, supply payroll information on a weekly/monthly basis
  • Carry out additional projects as and when required by the department manage

People/Leadership

  • Support staff training to ensure the team is fully equipped to meet customer needs, deliver optimum levels of service and maintain visual standards.
  • Participate in daily briefings to keep all members of the team fully aware of activity within the department and the business.
  • Support manager in recruitment and be mentor and trainer of new member of the team
  • Adhere to all H&S policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for all visitors and staff.
  • Shift management of team member daily, weekly and monthly operation

Duty Management

  • Help resolve any issues which may arise from a visitor perspective during their visit - enabling the Host and Car Park Team to carry on with their duties if faced with a situation which falls outside of the expected parameters of the role, escalating any issues to the Duty Manager as required
  • Support the Duty Manager by taking first line responsibility for all car park, lobby and front of house areas.

Selection Criteria

Relevant Previous Work Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in guest service.
  • 3+ years of experience leading a team (5-10+)
  • Experience working in a team to achieve goals
  • Experience solving problems in difficult situations.
  • Experience in hospitality (hotels, etc.), retail, attractions, and aviation industry welcome.
  • Opening Experience welcome

Skills Required

  • Highest levels of customer service.
  • Proactively seeks out opportunities to increase sales and exceed customer
  • Motivates individuals & team to achieve goals.
  • Communicates in a timely & effective manner to enhance store operations.
  • Interacts effectively with customers & staff.
  • Works as part of a team with a flexible approach.
  • PC Skills.

Working Pattern:

  • Annual variable work system (approximately 37.5 hours per week)
  • Crete monthly shifts
  • Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, busy period (year-end and New Year holidays, Golden Week, Obon)
