WBD Streaming Global Brand Research Intern: LA - Summer 2025

Your New Role
This internship will be located in the LA area. The selected intern will be expected to join us in the office on a regular cadence based on the intern manager's in office schedule.
We are looking for a Summer Intern to join our WBD DTC Streaming Global Brand Research team. DTC Global Brand Research team brings the voice of the consumers shaping company Streaming strategy as we are scaling Max in multiple markets. We are unique as we are one of the few teams doing custom research to shape the streaming business in a global scale in one of the fastest growing parts of WBD business. The internship role is very precious for us as we would love our intern to independently lead a few important projects leading to actionable insights. The intern who would join our team will lead both custom research as well as data collection, data analysis, integrating insights from multiple data sources and bringing them to a holistic story from start to the end by themselves.
Your Role Accountabilities
Duties could include:
- The intern will work on a couple of projects to have the breadth & depth of experience. One project will be on shaping current business and the other project on future trends to prepare Max for new opportunities. Specifically our intern will gain quantitative analysis and holistic story telling experience from the "current business project" which will focus on a Competitive Ad performance analysis. The second project on future trends will focus on Media & Entertainment Trends with a Focus on GenZ where we will ask our intern to lead custom research from start to the end, combine different sources of data to identify the key trends and opportunities and to present it to the key stakeholders.
- We expect our intern to lead their projects autonomously. We will coach them closely day-to-day for research setup, analysis, and reporting.
- It will be a meaningful work experience for the intern as they will gain hands-on experience across every phase of the research lifecycle, and also gain valuable insight into how research teams work with vendors and key brand stakeholders cross-functionally
Qualifications & Experience
- A passion for entertainment and excitement to learn about consumer insights
- Shows an understanding of the industry and has a POV on Max's brand strengths and opportunities within the SVOD landscape Strong analytical skills (e.g., able to tie the threads across multiple data points to identify themes and trends)
- High attention to detail (e.g., able to spot data errors, gaps or misalignments in the research materials)
- Clear and concise communication skills
- Comfortable writing and presenting narrative-driven reports
- Experience analyzing data through dashboards / excel tables / SPSS
- Proficient in Microsoft Office platforms: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
- Ideal to have previous consumer research experience, quant or qual ex., survey design, interviewing, basic survey programming, data analysis and charting
- Shows the ability to anticipate the needs of the business, sees the way insights might be tied back to recommendations or opportunities
- Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required)
- Must be a rising Junior or Senior undergraduate Student (18 years or older)
- Must be in academic good standing (3.0 or above GPA) A transcript will be required to verify your GPA if an offer is extended.
- Warner Bros. Discovery will only consider candidates who are presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and who will not require work visa sponsorship from Warner Bros. Discovery now or in the future in order to retain their authorization to work in the United States. Candidates currently on any student or exchange visa, including F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, J-1, M-1, etc., will not be eligible for the internship program.

What to know before applying:
- The duration of the summer program regardless of which start/end option is 11 weeks.
- Program date options:
- Option 1: June 2nd - August 15th
- Option 2: June 9th - August 22nd
- Interns will be expected to work 35-40 hours per week in a hybrid capacity.
- Our internships are paid opportunities with a competitive hourly wage. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired. Relocation is not provided.
- Interviewing will take place from February through mid-April. A WBD team member will contact you if your experiences and interests match an open internship position. Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to give individual status updates.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The rate listed is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Rate: $19 per hour USD for undergrad interns, $25 per hour USD for graduate level interns.
