Your new role...
WBD Sports Europe is seeking to engage an Executive Producer for our football productions, including the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, Europe League and Conference League, National League and very soon the FA Cup. As a member of the WBD Sports Europe team, you will be tasked to lead the team responsible for producing football on TNT Sports. This can expand to working across our entire sports portfolio, in the UK market and across Europe.
The Executive Producer of Football is responsible for leading the editorial team and executing the vision for our programming. In this role you will have creative oversight of a variety of production projects and will manage the efforts of multiple production teams simultaneously.
Your Role Accountabilities...
- Will work as part of a team to ensure the editorial vision and connect is aligned with the brand strategy for TNT Sports with innovative ways of thinking about presenting football as a 'Fan-First' sports proposition
- Leading and motivating the team in line with WBD's culture and values, and working within a matrix organisation, to ensure the team achieves its goals and creates engaging content
- Working with the Content & Production Leadership team, responsible for driving strategy, to create, share and anchor a strong creative vision and to secure execution the of all projects assigned
- Manage a budget across the various vertices to ensure the editorial plan is executed within targets
- Providing story ideas to generate program elements, from concept to execution
- Liaising with relevant members of production team to ensure delivery of content to deadlines
- Liaising with suppliers and 3rd parties, to ensure project tasks are delivered
- Contributing to discussions around new ideas and initiatives and changes to workflows to increase efficiencies
- Liaising and critiquing talent performance with Head of Department and Head of Football.
- Always displaying behaviors befitting of the role as Executive Producer, representing WBD Sports
- Line manager to Senior Producers
Qualifications & Experience...
- Extensive experience as Producer and Senior Producer within Sport.
- Experience in producing Talent-led series is a must.
- Experience of liaising and critiquing talent performance.
- Multi camera event programming experience is a must
- A demonstrated track record in creative execution and ratings performance.
- Experience managing a slate of multiple television projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to manage the creative process from concept to air.
- Willingness to work irregular hours in relation to the sporting events.
Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
