Business Overview...
The Production Incentives Team is a Centre of Excellence within Warner Bros. Discovery that supports all aspects of production. The department is responsible for managing incentives for Theatrical Motion Pictures, Theatrical Animation Pictures, HBO, Max, WBD, and WBTV. The team handle many projects within 42 companies (excluding Discovery), often managing multiple projects within each company. While most of the team are based in Burbank, the UK team consists of just two members, so finding the right candidate is crucial.
Your New Role...
In this role, you'll be at the heart of the production incentive process, working closely with various departments within WBD and external stakeholders. If you're ready to take ownership of your projects and make a significant impact, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
Your Role Accountabilities...
- Audit Defence: Dive into the world of incentive rules across different jurisdictions. You'll research and provide essential documents for various projects, ensuring everything is in order.
- Application Preparation: Be the mastermind behind preparing initial and final cultural applications to qualify for and receive production incentives. You'll review detailed production costs for tax credit coding accuracy, track and review required support and collaborate with different levels of personnel to ensure applications are complete.
- Participation/Residuals: Keep things running smoothly by tracking, reviewing, and arranging payments due to participants.
- Analysis: Get involved in exciting ad hoc projects and analyses, providing valuable insights and support as needed.
Qualifications & Experience...
- 1 year of experience in finance/accounting (production or corporate), financial reporting, or a similar field.
- A degree in accounting or equivalent work experience is preferred. College coursework in accounting is required.
- Advanced Excel skills and excellent communication/writing abilities. Ability to manipulate large datasets. Familiarity with production and production accounting concepts is a plus.
- Be a self-starter with a passion for problem-solving. Effectively manage time and prioritise multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
- Ability to operate under tight deadlines, multitask, and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Strong organisational skills and a structured approach to handle large volumes of data.
- Collaborative mindset with a focus on streamlining processes efficiently without compromising the end goal.
Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
