Your New Role

Overview of the internships

We have multiple Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures & TV Casting internship opportunities available. By applying to this posting, you will be considered for all internship opportunities within this area. These internships will be located in the NYC area. The selected interns will be expected to join us in the office on a regular cadence based on the intern manager's in office schedule.

This could include, but is not limited to:

  • Warner Bros. TV Casting Intern: NYC - Spring 2025


  • Theatre Ventures 100% In Person Intern: NYC - Spring 2025 (Please Note: This role requires interns to be available to work in-office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays with flexibility on Mondays and Fridays)

Your Role Accountabilities

Duties could include:

  • Providing administrative support to the Casting Manager, including document creation and editing, digital organizational tasks, database input, and occasional communication with agents and industry professionals
  • Providing administrative support for in-person auditions and taping process as designated by the Casting Manager
  • Curiosity about new talent and coverage of live events in the New York City area (i.e. plays, musicals, comedy shows)
  • Networking opportunities with industry-leading professionals
  • Engaging events including executive speaker sessions, professional development workshops, and more
  • Our intern experiences live theatre at its finest from the humble beginnings of a first draft of the book to the live show on stage
  • Attending readings and workshops and offering your thoughts on material
  • Introduction to some of our most beloved IP's and experience firsthand what it takes to make an IP have a continued life after the movies was shot or the book was written
  • Assist during script readings and workshops in the theatre industry
  • Research creative talent for upcoming projects when requested
  • Assist with marketing and varied press-related projects
  • Attend industry events on behalf of the Theatre Ventures group
  • Perform general administrative duties and support tasks as needed
  • By the end of the internship, you will know the inner workings of Broadway, West End and Regional Theatres

Qualifications & Experience

  • Some experience in Theater, TV, or Film (at any level) and an interest in the casting process
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Efficient at multitasking
  • The Theatre Ventures internship will require the intern to be available to work in-office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays (time TBD) with flexibility on Mondays and Fridays for industry events, readings and/or workshops.
  • Strong, demonstrated interest in theatre (for the Theatre Ventures role)
  • Must be able to attend evening events
  • A good sense of humor
  • Good communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills-both verbal and written
  • Exceptional time management skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and adapt to workload effectively
  • Ability to demonstrate a proactive, problem-solving approach
  • Maintain confidentiality as warranted
  • Must excel in working live events or events in an untraditional office environment
  • Must maintain a positive disposition in a fast-paced environment and during highly demanding times
  • Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required)


  • Must be a rising Junior or Senior (18 years or older)


  • Must be in academic good standing (3.0 or above cumulative GPA). A transcript will be required to verify your GPA if an offer is extended.


  • Warner Bros. Discovery will only consider candidates who are presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and who will not require work visa sponsorship from Warner Bros. Discovery now or in the future in order to retain their authorization to work in the United States. Candidates currently on any student or exchange visa, including F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, J-1, M-1, etc., will not be eligible for the internship program.

  • The most important plus is the ability to deal with creatives in a friendly and courteous manner
  • Prior experience in theatre industry

What to know before applying:

  • The duration of the program is 12 weeks

Program dates:

Start Date: January 27th

End Date: April 18th

  • Interns will be expected to work 16-24 hours per week in a hybrid capacity.


  • Our internships are paid opportunities with a competitive hourly wage. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired. Relocation is not provided.


  • Interviewing will take place from October through December. A WBD team member will contact you if your experiences and interests match an open internship position. Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to give individual status updates.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation for roles in locations where legally required. Pay Rate: $19 per hour USD for undergrad interns
