Job Title: VMD Associate

Reports to: VMD Manager, Studio Tour

Department Overview

The newest addition to the division will be Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo - The Making of Harry Potter (WBSTT), an indoor attraction that will invite visitors to step into the fascinating behind-the-scenes world of Harry Potter and the Wizarding World. The Studio Tour Tokyo will offer special features to enable visitors to deepen their understanding of how the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts films were made. With iconic film sets to explore, costumes and props to discover and magical experiences to delight, the indoor attraction will invite visitors to enjoy scenes from the films first-hand and discover how the world's favourite book series was brought to life on screen.

Unlike a theme park, the Studio Tour will allow visitors to step into film sets and enjoy an exciting entertainment experience. This will be only the second tour of its kind in the world and will build on the hugely successful Warner Bros. Studio Tour London (WBSTL).

Covering over 960,000 Sq Feet Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo - The Making of Harry Potter will be opening in Toshimaen in the first half of 2023.

Primary Purpose of the Job:

  • To provide each visitor to the tour with an optimum level of customer service, and to ensure the retail store meets sales targets. Maintain visual standards and support effective stock management.

Essential Job Functions:

Sales

  • Ensure our sales targets are achieved by fully maximising all sales opportunities.
  • Welcome customers with the best hospitality and deliver the best shopping experience.
  • Interact with customers and ensure their needs are identified and met with the use of skilled questioning and listening techniques.
  • Keep up-to-date on product knowledge and be able to confidently discuss the features and benefits of our merchandise with customers.
  • Participating team meeting periodically and proactively providing feedback of retail operations and customer feedback timely

People

  • Participate in staff training to be able to meet customer needs, deliver optimum levels of service and maintain high visual standards.
  • Participate in daily briefings with the team and be aware of all activity within the department and the business.
  • Adhere to all H&S policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for all visitors and staff.
  • To take responsibility for own personal development through one-on-one coaching from line manager.
  • Carry out any reasonable tasks at the request of the Retail Management Team.
  • Providing appropriate training and OJT as a trainer for new joiners and be a mentor

Stock and Standards

  • Perform housekeeping duties on a daily basis ensuring strict standards are maintained and ensure that stock is replenished in a timely manner and visually merchandised in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Ensure the store is visually merchandised to the highest standard with all scheme, graphics and equipment being used correctly and in accordance with guidelines and agreed standards.
  • Avoid stock loss by remaining vigilant on the shop floor and establishing contact with all customers.
  • Maintain minimal shrinkage through the efficient handling of product and packaging.

Administration

  • Ensure all requested administration procedures are performed including till reconciliation and cash control.
  • Support and assist on all stock counts.

Others

  • Comply with internal regulations (e.g. work rules, Standard Operating Procedures) and keep accurate records of own attendance.
  • Understand and implement action plans to achieve a work environment that increases employee satisfaction and enhance work-life balance.

Selection Criteria

Relevant Previous Work Experience

  • Experience of having worked in a retail or sales environment where high emphasis is placed on service, product presentation and commercial management.
  • Experience of VMD (set up for products) would be advantageous.

Skills Required

  • Selling skills - proactively seeks out opportunities to increase sales.
  • Highest levels of customer service.
  • Effective, confident communication with visitors and colleagues.
  • Works as part of a team with a flexible approach.
  • PC skills.
  • Able to work at height by using ladder.

Education/Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent or equivalent vocational qualification.

Working Pattern:

  • We have a range of roles available, working up to 37.5 hours a week across a variety of shifts.
  • Participate in cover of the Studios Tour as necessary including weekend, long holiday (e.g., Golden Week holidays), before and after opening hours cover in rotation with other team members.
  • Able to work in an early morning and night shift for big display changes.

- ハウスキーピング業務を日常的に行い、厳格な基準を維持し、会社のガイドラインに従ってタイムリーな在庫の補充。お客様をお迎えするにふさわしい環境の維持を行うこと。

- ガイドラインの基準に従い、すべてのスキーム、グラフィック、機器が正しく使用され、店舗が最高水準のビジュアルマーチャンダイズされていることを確認すること。

- 常に店頭で全体に目を配り、すべてのお客様とコンタクトを取ることで在庫紛失を防ぐこと。

- 商品と包装備品などの効率的な取り扱いを行い、資産の損失を最小限に維持すること。
