Your New Role

Support the daily operation of the bureau in all manner of facility maintenance, transportation or special events needs, and stocking concessions and business supplies. Work with other department members to maintain building infrastructure, appearance, support systems, supplies and all related operating requirements as directed. Services are provided 24 hours a day year-round, shift work is necessary.

Your Role Accountabilities

  • Provide transportation and logistical support to guests, visitors and employees to and from various locations around the Washington D.C. area. Provides transportation support for CNN Special Events. Services are provided 24 hours a day year-round, shift work is necessary. Clean, inspect and maintain transportation vehicles. Use automated system to account for trips, mileages, and time. Perform a number of non-driving tasks to include restocking of break areas, newspaper delivery, maintaining printing/office supplies, and assisting the mail clerk. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
  • The position is responsible for assisting with maintenance actions working with Facilities leads installing televisions, monitors and mounts, assisting with emergency engineering responses such as power outages, water leaks or cooling failures, changing locksets and hardware, performing drywall work, painting and ceiling tile replacement, woodworking, minor construction of walls and office space and picture and equipment hanging. Use hand tools, battery and corded power tools, key cutting machines, specialty hand and finish tools, use precise measuring devices. Performs office and departmental moves including furniture and equipment. Assembles office furniture and workstations. Install monitors and televisions. Set up and tear down for bureau and special events on and off site. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Qualifications & Experience

  • One to two years' experience in customer service and as a driver (preferably of people). Minimum of three years working in a housing, facility, or related maintenance program at least at the apprentice level. Media experience helpful.
  • Valid driver's license with good driving history a must.
  • Candidate must have working knowledge of the greater metro Washington D.C. area, specifically government agencies, airports, military bases and hotels. Moderate computer operation skills necessary. Must possess good customer service skills and a neat, professional appearance. 3 years or more facility maintenance experience a plus. Must possess good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Operate a motor vehicle safely regardless of weather.
  • Candidate must be able to work shifts, holidays and be available for 24-hour emergency on-call situations, including a willingness to work overtime if required.
  • Must possess good customer service skills and a neat, professional appearance.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 25 pounds regularly.
  • Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move 80 pounds occasionally.
  • Must be able to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs, and work in confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment.
  • Must be able to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
  • Must be able to safely climb ladders while carrying up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to work in cold environments and on concrete floors.
  • Positions self to install equipment, including under desks.
  • Operate power tools.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $59,507.00 - $110,512.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
