Your New Role...

Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) Procurement is an internal team who help support stakeholders across almost all areas of spend (Production, Studios, Sports, News, geographic regions, etc.). Our stakeholders include teams from all our brands, e.g. HBO, CNN, Warner Bros., Discovery, Eurosport, TNT Sport, etc. We provide an important link between the Company's internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

Our team are responsible for purchasing goods & services that WBD needs to operate. We identify suppliers, negotiate terms, and make purchases that meet quality standards. The team also supports aspects such as helping identify strategic opportunities, reducing business risk and anything that adds value to support our stakeholders.

Your Role Accountabilities...

  • Assist, learn and eventually lead sourcing projects (with support from the team).
  • Provide active project support to the International Procurement Team.
  • Help finding new suppliers, analysing spend, supporting stakeholders, communication.
  • Conduct market research to support various team projects and stakeholder needs.
  • Evaluate replies from suppliers, identify potential business risks, industry insights.
  • Support the team with purchases, new suppliers, licenses, and Rights agreements.
  • Build and nurture stakeholder relationships by actively engaging and supporting tenders, contract negotiations and day-to-day support functions for different business teams.
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure any deadlines are met for projects both within the Global Sourcing Team (e.g., tenders) and companywide from a project perspective.
  • Partner with groups such as Social Enterprise UK, MSD UK and OutBritain that support small, diverse businesses and social enterprises in line with our Supplier Diversity policies and goals.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • You must be a recent university graduate, having graduated no earlier than July 2024.
  • An interest and passion for media, broadcasting, and the entertainment industry.
  • Ability to communicate with people confidently at all levels in a mature manner.
  • Be fun to work with and have a positive disposition. Highly collaborative and agile team player.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly analytical with strong attention to detail.
  • Highly self-motivated & able to work diligently with limited supervision.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
  • Well organised & disciplined, with the ability to prioritise workloads & use time effectively.

The Internship...

  • Salary: £28,000
  • Contract Length: 10-12 months
  • Start Date: Likely to be 8th September 2024
  • You will gain hands-on experience working on business-critical projects.
  • You will have access to personal and professional development courses, executive speakers' series, special screenings and more.
  • You will be part of our Early Talent network of over 100 interns & apprentices, meaning you will have an important support network of other students, graduates and apprentices and plenty of opportunities to socialise!

Next Steps...

  • Stage 1: Submit your CV as soon as possible (we will close adverts when we have enough applications).
  • Stage 2: For eligible candidates, you will be invited to complete a written questionnaire in HireVue.
  • Stage 3: Pre-recorded video interviews via HireVue will be sent out, to be completed in April.
  • Stage 4: Assessment Centres & Interviews will take place May-June.

Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
