As Staff Technical Program Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing communication strategies, managing cross-functional projects, and collaborating with teams across the WBD DTC organization to ensure alignment and effective communication. You will play a critical role in driving collaboration through effective, inclusive, frequent communication. Your exceptional analytical skills, strong business acumen, and ability to balance multiple priorities will contribute to achieving our business objectives for the Platform Quality and Test Engineering portfolio. You are an agent of change, a master collaborator who will hold the organization to a high-quality bar that hinges on the principles of Quality and Continuous Improvement.
Responsibilities
Your efforts will help us scale to >100m customers and become a worldwide top 3 streaming company. You will be a key member of the Global Quality Assurance leadership team. The ideal candidate will have strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, excellent communication and collaboration skills, and a passion for WBD's mission.
Expectations
As a key contributor at WBD, you will:
- Program Management: Oversee project planning, scheduling, and coordination of activities related to all Quality and test engineering planned deliverables. Identify potential bottlenecks and proactively implement strategies to mitigate risks.
- Product Roadmap and Impact: You will drive cross-cutting strategic initiatives and maintain a portfolio view of the roadmap, priorities, KPIs, and mechanisms for your WBD product. This includes identifying issues that impede team success and providing solutions/recommendations.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Facilitate seamless communication and collaboration between the Product team and other engineering teams and stakeholders.
- Process Optimization: Identify and implement strategies to improve team efficiency and effectiveness of product development processes, ensuring smooth coordination between various teams involved in the product lifecycle.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders - Business, Engineering, Product and senior leadership.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the quality engineering team and provide guidance on operational matters.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends. Identify opportunities for process and team improvement and drive initiatives to enhance productivity, innovation, and quality of our products.
- Scope & Complexity : You work laterally across the WBD Streaming Tech Org, you have experience identifying and managing dependencies and stakeholders cross teams. You're able to take an ambiguous problem statement related to your subject-matter area to drive project deliverables over multiple iterations to achieve the right outcome.
- Decision Making : You are able to act as a representative for your area autonomously. Your decisions are right, far more often than not. You are able to provide key data points to make or enable correct decisions.
- Communication : Your written, verbal communication skills are exemplary, concise and to the point, making you the initial point of contact for business and technical Stakeholders. You are the point of contact for data related to your product, services, and features.
Required Skills / Experience
- 10+ years of proven experience in business operations, technical program and project management, or a similar role supporting product management teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, with a focus on results and outcomes. Must be able to project org-wide influence without authority to instill a culture of ownership, rigor and accountability.
- You are highly adaptable to changing business need and can drive change across multiple disciplines within the engineering and operations world.
- Ability to focus both strategically and tactically to achieve business goals, including the use of data to drive improvements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of product management lifecycle and processes. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail. Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Strong leadership and influence abilities, with the capacity to inspire and motivate cross functional teams.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of Agile or other product management methodologies is a plus.
- Experience with agile development methodologies and project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Smart Sheets etc.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field.
