Ability to work a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite) out of our Atlanta office.

Your New Role:
As the Sr. Director of WBD's AI ContentLab, you will lead a pioneering team focused on advancing AI technology in the media sector. You will set the strategic direction of the AI Lab, ensuring alignment with business objectives and delivering tangible value to WBD. This position requires a visionary leader who can inspire innovation and foster a culture of continuous learning. You will ensure the lab's projects drive real-world outcomes and contribute to WBD's success. You will lead a cross functional team including full stack software engineers, program managers, creative technology specialists and data scientists that interact with business units across News, Sports, Entertainment, Marketing and Advertising functions.

Your Role Accountabilities:.

  • Develop and execute the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the AI Creative Lab.
  • Explore emerging AI technologies and creative applications like generative AI, natural language processing, and computer vision for creative workflows.
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team of AI and creative professionals.
  • Set performance goals, prioritize projects, and ensure alignment with broader organizational objectives.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and business teams to develop creative AI-driven solutions. Oversee the successful implementation of AI-driven projects from concept to execution.
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with third-party vendors, ensuring they provide quality services or products that meet the organization's standards.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements with AI technology vendors, software providers, and other external partners. Oversee vendor performance, ensuring that deliverables align with project timelines, budgets, and the organization's creative vision. Develop contingency plans for vendor-related risks, ensuring that external dependencies do not affect project deadlines or quality.
  • Ensure that all AI applications and solutions follow ethical guidelines and industry best practices

Qualifications & Experiences:

  • 10+ years proven experience in media technology leadership role
  • 1+ years of AI experience required
  • Strong strategic planning and project management skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams
  • Ability to drive innovation and foster a culture of learning

Not Required but preferred experience:

  • Background in software engineering and/or data science
  • Experience with AI-driven media solutions
  • Familiarity with emerging AI technologies and trends
  • Understanding of media industry challenges and opportunities
  • Experience leading R&D oriented team
