The T-Nets Social Marketing team is looking for an Entertainment Marketing Social Media Intern. This isn't a fetching coffee and do-your-homework type of internship. We want you to jump right in and be a part of our team from day one by brainstorming social media campaigns, sharing your ideas, writing editorial calendars, scheduling content and reporting the results to support the original programming under tbs, TNT and truTV. We're also looking for someone who is dialed into the latest social media platform functionalities, trends, viral content, and can recommend how to use them to the network's advantage in a relevant way.
The Daily
Duties could include:
- Development of materials and decks for presentations and meeting
- Conduct market research
- Help concept and execute social media campaigns, including planning, deployment and reporting.
- Work with our brand marketing, PR and Brand Creative teams as well as agencies to bring campaigns to life.
- Draft editorial calendars, write copy and schedule posts.
- Engage directly with fans and community manage the social pages.
- Creative support, such as Instagram stories, TikTok videos and fun memes.
The Essentials
- Candidates should have a presence on social media platforms with a proficient knowledge of social media platforms.
- Must be actively enrolled in a U.S. accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent project management skills and collaborate effectively as a team member.
- Ability to communicate at all levels internally/externally by phone, email, slack or face to face.
- Ability to work autonomously when needed, successfully managing multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Google Suite (e.g. doc, sheets, slides) and Microsoft Suite (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- A positive attitude with good organizational skills.
- An interest in learning more about the entertainment industry.
- Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required)
- Must be a rising Junior or Senior Undergrad Student (18 years or older)
- Must be in academic good standing (3.0 or above GPA) A transcript will be required to verify your GPA if an offer is extended.
- Warner Bros. Discovery will only consider candidates who are presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and who will not require work visa sponsorship from Warner Bros. Discovery now or in the future in order to retain their authorization to work in the United States. Candidates currently on any student or exchange visa, including F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, J-1, M-1, etc., will not be eligible for the internship program.
What to know before applying:
- The duration of the summer program regardless of which start/end option is 11 weeks.
- Program date options:
- Option 1: June 2nd - August 15th
- Option 2: June 9th - August 22nd
- Interns will be expected to work 35-40 hours per week in a hybrid capacity.
- Our internships are paid opportunities with a competitive hourly wage. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired. Relocation is not provided.
- Interviewing will take place from February through mid-April. A WBD team member will contact you if your experiences and interests match an open internship position. Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to give individual status updates.
