Your New Role...

The Director/Senior Director of Ad Sales Marketing will serve as a strategic partner to the Ad Sales division, driving revenue growth across Latin America. This role will oversee the execution of trade marketing campaigns, client activations, and product innovation while ensuring alignment with regional and global brand strategies. The individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the sales division and strengthen WBD's commercial positioning in the region.

Your Role Accountabilities...

Core Strategic & Client-Facing Support- 50%

  • Sales Enablement & Partner Engagement: Work closely with ad sales teams to equip them with the tools and insights needed to drive revenue and close deals.
  • Campaign Management & Execution: Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of trade marketing campaigns, aligning messaging with sales objectives. Support client activations and sponsorships, providing data-driven performance insights.
  • Trade Strategy & Market Planning: Collaborate with sales leadership to develop and execute tailored trade marketing strategies for key Latin American markets, ensuring alignment with revenue goals.
  • Event Planning & Client Engagement: Plan and execute impactful trade events (e.g., trade shows, roadshows, upfronts), managing logistics and vendor relations to maximize client engagement and sales outcomes.
  • Product & Narrative Development: Develop product positioning, messaging frameworks, and marketing materials (e.g., sales decks, brochures) that support the company's regional offerings, aligning with client needs and sales goals.

Strategic Business Positioning 30%

  • Product Innovation & Communications: Contribute to the development of new ad products and branded content, collaborating on go-to-market plans for commercial innovations.
  • Industry Thought Leadership: Lead the creation of presentations and narratives for executives at industry events, ensuring alignment with regional and global brand strategies.

Operational Excellence & Internal Platforms 20%

  • Internal Sales Tools: Create compelling B2B marketing materials, including sales presentations, case studies, whitepapers, and thought leadership content.
  • Competitor & Trend Analysis: Stay ahead of industry trends and competitors to provide recommendations on emerging ad formats, consumer behaviors, and digital advertising innovations.
  • Digital Trade Communications & CRM: Develop and execute a CRM strategy, manage B2B communications (emails, newsletters, social), and oversee internal platforms (e.g., Highspot, SharePoint) to ensure sales teams have up-to-date resources.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, content, and creative teams to align trade marketing efforts with broader commercial objectives, adapting strategies to regional nuances.

Qualifications & Experience...

  • Experience:
    • 10+ years in Ad Sales Marketing, Media Sales, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
    • Proven track record of executing trade marketing campaigns, managing client activations, and driving revenue in Latin American markets.
    • Experience in digital marketing, event planning, and CRM strategy.

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field. Advanced degree or certifications is a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese, with advanced English communication skills.
    • Strong expertise in campaign management, product innovation, and sales enablement.
    • Proficiency with digital tools, CRM systems, and internal communication platforms (e.g., Highspot, SharePoint).
  • Traits:
    • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented approach.
    • Strong project management skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
    • Creative and client-focused with strong interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a global media company or advertising agency with a significant Latin American presence.
  • Familiarity with OTT, programmatic advertising, and connected TV.
  • Experience leading thought leadership initiatives and speaking at industry events.
