Your New Role
EMEA Media Operations prepares, quality checks and delivers material for EMEA Broadcast and Digital Distribution. The team facilitates content distribution, ensures the materials meet Warner Bros. Discovery standards of quality, coordinates media workflows with internal and external partners, and manages the media through broadcast and preps for digital distribution workflows.
The QC & Mastering Supervisor provides daily operational support Non-Linear Services, Digital Media Platforms, and On-Air/Linear content. The QC & Mastering Supervisor provides support to the EMEA Media Operations team within and across network pods, ensuring that materials are checked, processed in a timely manner to all necessary endpoints.
Your Role Accountabilities
- Monitor quality check processes (video, audio, subtitle)
- Complete QC process of incoming media content
- Supervise the QC & Mastering team daily work, solve problems, balance workload.
- Monitor linear broadcast media and schedule delivery workflows and ensure media is successfully prepared for distribution.
- Monitor and completed QC metadata entry - automatically/manually.
- Assist/cooperate other EMEA Media Operations, Engineering teams during projects and everyday issues.
- Generate regularly missing materials reports; checked streams/titles and coordinate with Media Operations and Content Operations teams to update statuses.
- Provide training in case of new QC & Mastering team member.
- Attend on regular meetings, present QC & Mastering team.
- Other linear and non-linear duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience
- Some experience with postproduction, audio-video editing systems, broadcast operations, and/or log operations preferred.
- Work experience within the media/tech industry preferred.
- Knowledge about audio and video technology fundaments and standard: video standards, resolutions, framerates, aspect ratios, color encoding systems, frequency, pitch, amplitude and loudness, sampling rate etc.
- Experience with automatic QC systems and software's (i.e., Tektronix-Aurora, VidCheck, Interra-Baton)
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude with ability to lead and handle high volume projects and tasks.
- Superior organizational skills with a high degree of flexibility, attention to detail, and ability to respond to changing priorities, timelines, and deadlines.
- Self-learner, independent, with outstanding problem-solving skills.
- Minimum Intermediate written and spoken English knowledge.
- Must have the legal right to work in the European Union/Hungary
This position is considered an essential position.
