Your New Role...
The Remote Operations Manager will be responsible for the daily set up of the Remote Operations Center, scheduling the Remote Technical Coordinators for productions (set days and production days), work on productions as needed, attend meetings for remote productions and projects. They will also work with other department leads on setting up lines, feeds, EVS, Graphics and other equipment (current and new) for productions. The Manager will also serve as the daily main point of contact and will provide annual performance reviews for the Remote Technical Coordinators.

Your Role Accountabilities...

Productions/Projects

  • Main point of contact in the Remote Operations Center for multi-feed productions, remote EVS, Graphics and other technical needs.
  • Attend meetings for remote productions, studios (as needed), TOC, NGMC. Tech Books and support productions working on.
  • Create and/or provide technical information for Tech Books working with remote and studio Tech Managers, Engineering, Technical Operations, and other production teams.
  • Lead/Implement new technologies, workflows, and partner with remote leadership, Engineering and other teams and specialists to meet the needs of productions.

Leadership

  • Schedule Remote Technical Coordinators for set days and productions.
  • Create and facilitate the training program for Remote Technical Coordinators.
  • Conduct quarterly performance reviews for each Remote Technical Coordinator and write up annual performance evaluations.
  • Work with manager in creating development programs for Tech Managers.

Development

  • Research and learn new technology and industry trends.
  • Watch and/or attend technology and industry presentations.
  • Share information learned with the Tech Manger team.

Qualifications & Experiences...

  • BS/BA degree required
  • Fluency in English - written and spoken
  • 10+ years of prior technical experience in a related field (Sports, Entertainment, or News,
  • 4 + years of leadership experience
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) to prepare all documents, presentations, graphs, briefings, and worksheets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Superb relationship building skills
  • Work collaboratively with small and large teams
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently

Not Required but preferred experience:

  • Some Project Management experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
