Your Role

You will be responsible for maximizing the potential of content across all pillars (Scripted, Kids, Factual and Lifestyle) on the MAX platform, reporting to the Merchandising Lead based in Sydney.

Key Responsibilities

Operational

  • Responsible for the planning and day-to-day operations of merchandising on Max for ANZ region
  • Power user of Site Builder (our content management system) following training
  • Collaborate with Merchandising Analysis & Insights team to receive the right data to inform merchandising decisions
  • Partner with Product, Data, Marketing, and other relevant business units to contribute to merchandising deliverables
  • Communicate clearly with relevant stakeholders to manage internal expectations and priorities of merchandising strategies Manage, operate and influence workflows and tooling to make sure all content types and assets are published to the platform with consistent and accurate metadata, design and merchandising curation
  • Support ANZ Merchandising Lead on successfully building and launching Max in the ANZ region

Strategy

  • Collaborate closely with the WBD content and production teams to gather key information across all competitions and events to develop user experiences showcasing the breadth and depth of our content portfolio on MAX platforms
  • Aim to deliver on the goals, priorities and merchandising strategies set forth by Content Lead. With a focus to optimize the value of content on MAX to improve s content discoverability, engagement, acquisition, and retention audiences
  • Use data to drive decisions; shares actionable insights and recommendations with the Global Merchandising team as well as other stakeholders
  • Stay in sync and connected to the pulse of the market to leverage zeitgeist moments into content discovery opportunities
  • Contribute to overall strategy through cross-team collaboration, sharing successful curation strategies that can be used outside their primary page
  • Provide recommendations for improvements in any aspects relating to day-to-day merchandising performance and operations, including product features and operational workflows

Key Skills and Experience Required

Content knowledge:

  • Passionate and have strong knowledge of content across all TV or streaming platforms

Data-Driven:

  • Comfortable analyzing data and using it to optimize our work: level of effort vs consumer impact. Demonstrated evidence of implementing shifts in strategy based on quantitative evidence, working command of evolving performance metrics

Consumer Obsessed:

  • Tenacious focus on the consumer, delivering seamless and delightful experiences, connecting them with their favorite sports content
  • Obsession with providing an excellent quality customer experience

Operational Excellence:

  • Experience in project management and wider team communications.
  • Relentless pursuit of operational and work-flow efficiency
  • Proficiency in digital editorial operations, workflows, and live event creation tools
  • Commanding knowledge of various editorial tools

Interpersonal Excellence:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable with collaborating across multiple business units globally
  • Ability to work comfortably with various functions including Executive, Product, Data, Engineering, Technology Operations, and Vendors
