Your role...

The Franchise Marketing Manager is expected to manage and develop long-term objectives and strategies for our key franchises in the Nordics. Responsibilities include maximizing the long-term value of our franchise IPs to ensure revenue-generating potential and implementing marketing initiatives to drive our franchise business forward. The role requires building strong relationships and working closely with our Nordic licensing agent to ensure our licensees and partners have the necessary information and plans for our key properties. The position oversees the development and execution of supporting tactics for assigned franchises/properties and creates various entertainment initiatives, events, and experiences.

The role will also need to collaborate and manage relationships with key stakeholders. This includes close partnerships with the WBD Global Franchise team and all other necessary internal WBD departments across marketing, sales, creative, finance, legal, international, etc., to facilitate the execution of all projects and materials in a professional and timely manner.

Your Role Accountabilities...

  • Work closely with Global and EMEA Franchise teams to stay up to date on new tools and materials.
  • Identify and brainstorm ideas, events, and executable programs to drive innovative franchise plans and consumer product growth.
  • Support local teams in the implementation of franchise plans, ensuring alignment with global strategies.
  • Optimize global materials for franchise presentation decks, licensee and retailer pitch decks, sizzle videos, and other relevant materials needed to drive the franchises.
  • Maintain the Franchise calendars, identifying opportunities to optimize franchises and align with marketing activities across other divisions, campaigns, and priorities.
  • Serve as the WBD day-to-day liaison with our agent for assigned franchises/properties.
  • Work to develop synergy plans with the licensing agent and departments within WBD (Retail, Sales, Creative, Consumer Products, Marketing, etc.).
  • Partner with the Global Franchise team on portfolio management and incubating potential franchises.
  • Manage the planning and execution of events that enhance the WBD brand and its properties.
  • Identify and pursue licensing opportunities with reputable partners and consumer products to expand our brand's reach and generate revenue.
  • Act as a key point of contact for consumer product licensees and the licensing agent across all functions in the Nordics.
  • Create brand pitches, sales sheets, and one-sheets that showcase the value of WBD's franchises.
  • Integrate and utilize high-quality consumer products, including toys, apparel, and collectibles, into other WBD marketing campaigns to drive incremental value for retail and licensees.
  • Monitor market trends and consumer insights to identify new product opportunities.
  • Work closely with international offices to support the regional implementation of strategies and local marketing activations.
  • Participate in key licensee meetings when appropriate.

Skills & Qualifications....

  • Experience managing projects and leading conversations with external stakeholders to drive business goals; a background in franchise management (FMCG, entertainment franchises) is a plus.
  • 5+ years of work experience in a related field; integrated marketing and themed entertainment experience is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and presentation software.
  • Excellent writing and grammar skills in English with the ability to articulate points of view clearly.
  • Highly organized and effective project manager, with the ability to prioritize workloads and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to self-manage and prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with individuals at all levels and across cultures, both in person and virtually.
  • Some travel required.
