Your New Role...
As a Data Scientist in WBD's AI ContentLab, you will drive innovation by developing and deploying cutting-edge AI solutions tailored for the media and entertainment industry. You will work on a wide array of AI/ML projects, ranging from traditional machine learning and computer vision to working with advanced multimodal models for generative content and semantic search. You will create agentic systems that employ prompt chaining and multi-step reasoning to solve complex problems. Your role will involve identifying the right models, fine-tuning algorithms, training AI systems, and leveraging prompting techniques to optimize media-centric AI applications.

You will collaborate with a cross functional team that includes full-stack engineers, creative technologists, program managers, and creative teams across News, Sports, Entertainment, Marketing, and Advertising to create impactful AI-driven solutions that shape the future of media at Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD).

Your Role Accountabilities...

  • Develop and implement AI/ML models and algorithms for media-centric applications, focusing on improving content creation, curation, and delivery through AI-driven insights.
  • Design and build proof-of-concept (PoC) AI models that demonstrate the potential of AI/ML technologies in media workflows, showcasing new possibilities for storytelling, production, and post-production.
  • Collaborate with engineering, creative technology, and application development teams to integrate AI/ML models into media-centric solutions that drive content innovation across WBD's portfolio.
  • Identify the best-fit models for various AI tasks, fine-tune existing models, and apply advanced techniques to ensure scalability and accuracy in real-world media applications.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to pilot and test new AI solutions, ensuring seamless integration into existing media production and post-production pipelines.

Qualifications & Experiences...

  • 5-7 years of strong experience in data science and machine learning
  • Proficiency in AI/ML frameworks and tools
  • Experience with media-centric AI solutions
  • Familiarity with emerging AI technologies and trends
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment

Preferred Experience:

  • 4 year degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Background in media or entertainment industry
  • Experience with multimodal AI solutions
  • Experience with prompt chaining and multi-step reasoning
