Your New Role:
The Crewing Coordinator assists with the day to day functions within the Production, Technology and Operations Crewing department. This position supports the Crewing Mangers with maintaining crew grids, scheduling databases and crew contact information. The Coordinator works with our Business Operations team to ensure that crew payroll is accurate and distributed on a weekly basis.
Your Role Accountabilities:
BOOKING / SCHEDULING / DATA ENTRY
- Supports the Crewing Managers to ensure all booking requests and communication surrounding productions are distributed to the full-time staff and 150+ temp crew members in a timely and efficient manner
- Works with Crewing Managers to accurately maintain crewing grids. Also works with the Production Operations team to ensure all the necessary work orders are created and populated with confirmed crew members
- Leads the continued maintenance of personnel databases for Temp Crew members for all technical Production Control Room and Studio positions
PAYROLL
- Reconcile and actualize production work orders for timely crew payment
- Verify payroll for temp crew members, addressing discrepancies and working with Business Operations to make the proper corrections
- Provide direct, consistent communication to the crew regarding scheduling and payroll
COLLABORATION & COMMUNICATION
- Leads the onboarding process for Temp Crew members and other personnel, while also working with the Crewing Managers to ensure all deadlines are met
- Works in tandem with Crewing Managers surrounding all crewing needs, including recruiting talent to build depth across all technical positions
- Leads the charge with communicating any changes surrounding crew to the Production Operations Management team.
Qualifications & Experiences:
- 1-2 years of experience in broadcast operations, including knowledge of studio/remote television productions and operations with technical below-the-line crew
- Must have strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Must be organized and detail oriented
- Solid time management, planning and organizational skills
- Must have a strong working knowledge with Microsoft Excel
- Able to work flexible, non-traditional hours including nights, weekends and holidays if needed
Not Required but preferred experience:
- Working knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite, Concur, Workday and Xytech/Media Pulse
- Passion for media and entertainment industry
- Previous experience working with high caliber productions a plus
