We're looking for a Creative Copywriter to lead the charge in creating fun, witty, and engaging campaigns for Cartoon Network, Cartoonito, Discovery Kids, and MAX-our main streaming platform. Based in Mexico or Argentina, this hybrid role (part remote, part in-office) will have you crafting content that resonates across TV, streaming, social media, and beyond. From TikTok trends to paid ads, you'll create content that is smart, shareable, and connects deeply with our kids and family audience.
This person will be responsible for translating creative ideas into scripts and campaign concepts. Reporting to the Creative Manager, they will collaborate closely with producers, editors, audio designers, and motion graphics teams, as well as local and regional marketing teams. Together, they'll ensure that every piece of content feels cohesive, visually engaging, and on-brand.
Responsibilities:
- Concept & Campaign Development: Immerse yourself in our shows, find their unique angles, and come up with fresh ideas for cross-platform campaigns. Develop creative concepts for MAX, TV, social media, TikTok, and paid advertising-bringing humor, energy, and character to every format.
- Humor & Storytelling: Infuse humor that's relatable, witty, and a bit edgy across all content. We want smart, fun ideas-not gimmicks-crafted by a team player who brings good vibes.
- Material Selection & Collaboration with Editors: Log scenes, select the strongest material, and work closely with editors to bring each campaign to life. Ensure that visual and audio elements hit the mark.
- Multi-Platform Content Creation: Create promos, teasers, character highlights, memes, and TikToks tailored to each platform. Whether it's a quick Instagram post or a trailer for MAX, each piece should feel cohesive and on-brand.
- Rhymes & Songwriting: Have a talent for catchy rhymes and songs (keep it fresh and avoid the overly cheesy). Make it memorable for kids and parents alike.
- Quality Control: Maintain high standards in every deliverable, from language to visuals and sound quality, across all channels: TV, streaming, TikTok, digital, and paid media.
Requisites:
- Humor: natural gift for humor-think clever punchlines, memes, and creative ideas.
- Broad Entertainment Experience: At least 5 years in creative copywriting in advertising/social agencies or entertainment companies. Experience with kids is a plus.
- Bilingual Proficiency: Fluent in English and Spanish, with a knack for bilingual creativity.
- Social Media & TikTok Savvy: Know what resonates on social media, especially TikTok. You should be able to create content that's funny, shareable, and engaging.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiar with production workflows in On-Air, Digital, and Streaming, including editing, design, animation, and voiceover.
- Organization & Flexibility: Able to juggle projects with attention to detail, flexibility, and a cool head in a fast-paced environment.
Desired/Nice to Have:
- Agency Experience: A background in agency work is a strong advantage.
- Editing Skills: Proficiency with editing tools like Premiere Pro is a plus.
- Portuguese Language Skills: Speaking Portuguese is a bonus.
