Your New Role
As a key member of the Kids & Family function, the Executive will review and edit content from WBD studios (Cartoon Network, Warner Bros. Animation & Hannah-Barbera Europe), co-productions and 3rd party acquisitions to ensure that content on all platforms in EMEA meet WBD's Guiding Principles, our Kids EMEA Brand Guidelines and local licencing regulations. The Executive will be responsible for providing guidance to our Brand Solutions team for all Sponsorship and commercial material as well as making sure the localisation of all Kids and Family content meets the high standards expected of our brands.
Your Role Accountabilities
- Reviewing content during production from WBD studios and 3rd Party co-productions to provide expert guidance and ensure all content meets internal guidelines as well as Ofcom, RRTV and local licencing regulations.
- To carry out the evaluation and editing (where required) of all linear and non-linear programming and promotional material.
- Providing guidance on all promotional, digital and shortform content on network channels and MAX streaming platforms throughout EMEA.
- Assign and apply age ratings to all Kids & Family content on WBD platforms and services.
- Reviewing commercial and sponsorship material to ensure compliance with Ofcom, RRTV and ASA regulations.
- Composing detailed, written reports assessing suitability of material as per the requirements of WBD editorial guidelines, local regulators, and cultural sensitivities in all EMEA territories.
- Creating bespoke dubbing guidelines and liaising with localisation partners and studios to ensure all languages across EMEA are compliant to relevant regulations.
- Attend regular meetings with key stakeholders throughout EMEA to ensure that any content related issues are raised, discussed, and dealt with in a timely and organized manner.
- Work closely with the Operations team to ensure all content arrives in accordance with internal deadlines to meet planned broadcast/streaming dates.
- Create and maintain relationships around the business, become a point of contact for compliance issues and help raise the profile of the team.
- Support the Director and Production Manager in their duties and step up to cover these responsibilities when required.
- Workwith the Content Strategy, Creative, Digital and Marketing teams to advise on key series and episodes for stunts, games and marketing opportunities.
Skills and Experience
- Experience in an Editorial or Compliance role.
- Proficiency in editing, with experience in Adobe Premiere an advantage.
- Strong experience working to Ofcom and/or other EMEA regulatory guidelines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and have first-class communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Proven self-starter with the ability to work and manage time effectively both independently and as part of a brilliant team.
- Enthusiasm for kids content and adult animation.
Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
