Your New Role

Safely and efficiently test, repair, and install new and existing equipment and systems; maintenance and repair of all mechanical components, systems and structures as directed; and contribute efforts and ideas which will insure their proper operations, performance, and reliability.

Equipment includes but is not limited to high pressure steam boilers, low pressure steam boiler, 400-1800-ton chillers, electric motors, air handlers, Deaerator tank, heat exchangers, electric heating elements, air compressors, all types of pumps, fire safety systems and components, heat pumps, exhaust fans, intake fans and cooling towers. This position supports 24/7 365 days a year at the WBD campus and other off-site locations, critical TGR Rooms, Data Centers and Studios.

Your Role Accountabilities

  • Monitor 5000 ton Central Cooling / chilled water distribution plant and critical space (Datacenter) operation scattered across 12 buildings and 1.5M s/f of commercial production space; specifically chillers, pumps, cooling towers, make up water stations and controls.
  • Responsible for ,maintenance and operation of commercial comfort cooling and critical application HVAC units (AHU, FCU, VAV, FPV, CRAH, CRAC units)
  • Trouble shoot motors, boilers, pumps, electric heat, air conditioners, etc.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all mechanical equipment per prescribed schedules and work plans
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by manager

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years working in a commercial chilled water plant and distribution environment including critical cooling (datacenter) equipment and applications.
  • EPA Universal or Type II certification Required
  • Apprenticeship or vocational school preferred.
  • Direct expansion, indirect expansion, operation of chillers, chilled and condenser water loops via VFD control, cooling towers, make up water operations, electrical troubleshooting at the control level, AHU, VAV operations and CRAC/CRAH experience.
  • Valid drivers license required.
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Familiarity with digital platforms including MS Office and HVAC control systems such as Niagara/Tridium, Johnson Controls, Honeywell etc..
  • Warm air license preferred
  • Stationary Engineer Certification preferred
  • Boiler Operator Certification preferred
