This role is for a Cloud Engineer, part of the Global Infrastructure Cloud Technologies (GICT) Team. This role manages infrastructure on behalf of several WBD business units. This includes new infrastructure developments, migrations, support, and maintenance. This individual will be exposed to a variety of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS platforms including Google Cloud Platform (GCP, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure to develop best practices for running enterprise level applications in the cloud.
This individual will have a background in both Linux Systems Engineering and Windows Systems Engineering. Proficiency in Terraform or Cloud Formation for Infrastructure-as-Code is required. The DevOps engineer is responsible for designing and building highly available infrastructure in the cloud, automated code deployment pipelines and securing the account using best practices and procedures defined by the GICT team.

The Daily - Major Activities
- Design and build cloud infrastructure for enterprise applications
- Automate deployment pipelines
- Automate Infrastructure deployments
- Implement and improve monitoring and alerting
- Security compliance and governance assessments
- Production readiness assessments
- Disaster recovery / business continuity planning and deployment
The Essentials
- 5-7 Years experience in AWS cloud engineering role
- Solid understanding of AWS services and products (EC2, ECS,Fargate,VPC, SQS, RDS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.)
- Experience with AWS platform for building infrastructure using IaC methodologies
- Capable of serving as a subject-matter expert in topics related to web hosting architecture, such as high availability, CI/CD, performance analysis, scaling, SSL, local and global load balancing, caching, and troubleshooting
- Experience with CI/CD - AWS CodeBuild, CodePipeline
- Ability to provide technical leadership and support to developers for designing and deploying modern solutions
- Solid understanding of version control systems (git), including branching and merging strategies
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Node, PowerShell
- Working knowledge of Terraform and CloudFormation for building infrastructure as code
- Strong Linux andWindows system administration background
The Nice to Haves
- Experience with Azure cloud platform for building infrastructure (Bonus)
- Familiarity with containerization - EKS and Docker (Fargate a plus)
- Support continuous integration and deployment pipelines
- Proficiency in developing and maintaining Terraform modules
- Move quickly and intelligently - seeing technical debt as your nemesis
- Ability to solve problems independently but knows when to request assistance
